Divava is Picture Perfect Divava is a lovely well-kept Lodge. Rooms had beautiful views the Bath is to die for, food was very good well-presented compliments to the chef. Staff at the Spa were very professional and the view from the spa is stunning. Only complaint was the boat trip which was on a tiny boat with a tiny seat which was 2.5 hours long and it is not a cheap trip you would expect a decent chair.

A very comfortable well appointed lodge with excellent service focused staff. All rooms perched on the river bank with large viewing deck areas, the room also large, immaculately clean, a/c, inside or exterior shower, full bath with view. The food was also very good. Included 5 course served fixed menu dinner each evening, wine very reasonable from £12 a bottle. Lovely small pool area for a welcome cooling break. WiFi at the lodge main areas only not in room.

As a travel agent, I have had the opportunity to stay at a lot of hotels and lodges, and regularly book for my clients. Divava Lodge, although set in a beautiful setting, was quite a let down. Service was extremely slow or non - existent. Lots of staff, but they where always "vanishing" somewhere. A lodge like this, should have staff that is constantly checking on you, asking you if you would like to have a drink. Bar service was slow. We always had to go and order something, or first find someone to find the bar man. The staff was however extremely friendly. That one could not fault. As there is not much to do here, having better service would have changed the dinamic of our stay and I'm sure would definately up their revenue. It also seems that the managers kids where staying at this lodge. They where constantly playing music and dancing and we often had to ask if they could change the music. Housekeeping took 3 hours one day to clean our room, as they where waiting on bedding, which meant we could not go in our room to get ready for the day. I would rather stay at the lodge next door. MUCH better service and even their spa is half price.

I really found it difficult to do a booking. The telephone number for Divava was not answered during a period of 4 days. My emails to the lodge was only answered once. The alternative telephone number provided, in Windhoek, was also very difficult to reach, it was rarely answered. Emails sent to the address in Windhoek, provided on the website, was also poorly attended to. I was on the brink of booking alternative accommodation when I was finally answered. We were invited for tea and cake on the deck from 15h00 to 17h00, there was no cake served. When I asked about this, I was told that the kitchen did not bake any cake. No problem if they do not want to serve cake and coffee, it should then not be advertised as available. The food was very good, I just did not appreciate margarine served with the breadrolls. A really beautiful setting with lovely chalets, the service just need some attention. The treatments provided at the spa were very good.

Our family had a fantastic stay at Divava Lodge and Spa! The serene environment was ideal for a relaxing getaway. We were impressed by the variety of activities offered, each giving us a unique experience. Special recognition goes to Joseph, whose exceptional guidance and enthusiasm made our adventures memorable. His knowledge truly enriched our experience. We left feeling rejuvenated, filled with wonderful memories. This lodge is perfect for anyone looking to unwind amidst nature, and we highly recommend it for a blissful retreat.

Definitely the highlight of our two weeks in the Caprivi *****. The complex with 20 chalets overlooking the Okavango river offers mesmerising views. We stayed three nights to allow the opportunity of using all the facilities, tours, and boat trips. The dining area on an open deck allowed stunning sunsets and the sounds of the river and bush. The quality of food was the very best anywhere in Namibia - three excellent chefs produced top class fare - amazing given the remote location and access to supplies. There were a few minor niggles but overall the management and staff were friendly and accommodating.

I am writing this mail because upon arrival on the 4th of November 2024, after 7 hours drive, from the splendid Kifaru lodge, at the Divava lodge in Divundu/Caprivi we where really sadly disappointed in the state and appearance of the complex as well as the behaviour of the “so called assistant” front office manager – who also cleans up tables or bakes an omelet (rude, unpolite and arrogant) by lack of a front office manager on duty – from which I even up till now have not even heard a reaction! How extreme unpolite and arrogant! First of all you make me pay a 21666 NAB $ in advance and than you can not deliver the to be expected high quality and standard of a lodge/hotel in this price category. On top of all this there is no last minute alternative in Divundu and you have the incredible arrogance to not reimburse me on this matter where the pictures speak for them selves. As shown on the pictures the place is worn out, dirty, filthy, broken. So just to mention some: whether it’s the rugs, the chairs, the discoulered bed pillows, the entrance of the room, the terras, the more than dirty pillows on the terrace, windows, the broken lightning, door handles, table cloth, torn shutters etc. etc. On top of that there is no WiFi in the rooms and around the main building internet is extremely slow!!!!, the fridge does not refrigerate (only aftere more than 30 hours), the airco hardly brings down the room temperature, the bar, the discusting/dirty reception area (which they had cleaned a little bit at once the day after) & the seats (which do not have a comfortable sit – mentioned by other guests too) are sticky and dirty, the water of the outside shower does not run off so you stand in an endless pool of dirty water, etc etc. To much to mention. A great disappointment!!!! A national/African SHAME!!!! So my advice would be shut the place down, do a complete renovation. This place is a shame for Namibian Tourism and does not at all full fill the standards of a 5 Star luxury Resort. In our opinion it was the worst place after almost 3 week of travel and stays the most beautiful lodges and surroundings of the country of Namibia. This is a ripp-off: I pay more than a 1000 EURO in advance, Divava cannot deliver and if I want to cancel/or not check-in because of the poor condition the lodge is in, you tell me it is short-notice cancellation policy? As you can see I filed the complaint to the national Board of Namibian Tourist Information and the Ministery of Tourism o
