Taita Hills Safari Resort & Spa

My partner and I had the pleasure of staying at the resort for two nights. During this stay we were overwhelmed by the amazing customer service by the entire staff. While I wish we could list everyone's name, a special shout-out to Patterson, Joshua, Cornelius, Haylee and Joy from the in-house teams - and another to Samuel, Remmick and Martin from the game drive teams. Collectively, they made our stay unforgettable! Asanteni sana! The compound is large and perfect for a short walk, with views overlooking the wildlife sanctuary and the beautiful Taita hills. From the compound we could see antelopes, zebra, elephants and giraffe. We thought this was much better than the restricted movement at Salt Lick. It's a great place for families or couples as it never felt too loud yet still had a sense of tranquility. Our room was spacious and cleaned every day. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was great. Our package included two game drives during the day but we added another two night safaris, and what a unique experience that was! We recommend it! A few small things that would have made it a 5 star review: - We wish full board would have included a selection of soft drinks and hot beverages, not just the water. - We would have liked our rooms to be refreshed with bottled water after every clean. They did happily provide us with some whenever we asked. Altogether, my partner and I had a blast and thought this was really good value for what we spent. We would go again in a heartbeat!

We stayed at the Salt Lick Lodge for one night and did some extra activities as well. One of them was a cooking class at Taita Hills and it was a really great experience! We were cooking in the middle of their huge vegetable garden. We first got a nice tour of the garden by Sausi after which we had to fish for our own fish from the pond. We hand picked fresh veggies from the garden to go with our fish as well. After that we prepared and cooked everything together with the chefs Emanuel and Betty, who were great and so much fun! Also the host Crescencia was there to help us with anything we needed. It was a truly great experience and the food was amazing! There was even more food than what we prepared so we had a delicious lunch. All in all a fully recommended experience which is great value for money for only 20USD per person! Thanks again!

We had our class trip here and we had a blast! From the food, to the environment to the Game Drive, to the hospitality, everything was TOP NOTCH! Sadly we were only there for 2 days but we made sure we got the most out of the hotel the last day and we definitely did! The staff were really nice and helpful which made our experience even better! I definitely recommend the hotel as a place to go and relax as you get a sense of peace!

Perfect place to indulge in to luxury and game drives. Peaceful place with very much helpful staff. Specially Patteson & Fedric was much kind to help us every time
