I was very satisfied with the hot spring and the rice. You can enjoy several baths and saunas in hot water that feels good on the skin, as it is said to be a beauty hot spring. Although it is popular with many people who take a day trip to the bath, it was not crowded and I was able to enjoy it slowly. For meals, we had breakfast, but you can enjoy a panoramic view of the city of Mutsu City from the top floor. Although it was a half-buffet, there were many kinds, and I was able to enjoy delicious local foods. The rooms are clean, and the hotel itself has been around for a long time, but it was very clean and nice. If I go to Mutsu city again, I would like to stay there.

It was nice to have the Tonan Onsen Bijin-no-Yu, an open-air bath and a large public bath for guests only. I ate breakfast until past 9:00, but it's a pity that they started cleaning up before 9:00!

The hot spring with an open-air bath was very good. There is also a sauna. The room was a little old, but it was clean and clean.

We stayed a night at the Grand Hotel Mutsu. It's probably the most prominent building in Mutsu, offers a great view of the city, and has a grand history. As many other reviewers have noted, its decor looks fairly dated. But other than that, the hotel is clean and has all the key amenities one would need. There's an onsite onsen, while the restaurant at the top floor has great views and serves a delicious breakfast. Rooms are pretty decently sized with comfortable beds. The only drawback is the early checkout (10am). Other than that, it's a solid choice for a stay in Mutsu.

The hotel is located on a hill a little away from the city center, so the view from the rooms is beautiful and you can see the whole city. The hotel also has Tonan Onsen, which guests can use free of charge. The water is of good quality and has a strong alkaline content that makes the skin smooth. However, since the hotel is used by many group tourists, there were three tour buses staying there on the day we stayed.

I stayed here for one night on a tour in late February. I thought it was an old hotel, but the lobby, dining area, and rooms were clean and I was satisfied. The bath is in a separate building and seems to be popular among locals, with many men in particular using it from early morning until evening. However, the bathtub and washing area are spacious, so it doesn't feel crowded. The water temperature is high and makes you feel very warm. Dinner was a menu full of monkfish, a specialty of this time of year.

Hot springs are good! General bathers and guests can come and go through one door, but the explanation given by the person in charge of the bathing facility is incomprehensible. In short, you can use the lodging locker key to go to the general area, but you cannot go from the general area to the lodging area. Of course... The room for guests is very small but has good amenities. If you get this locker key, you can also go to the public bathhouse, which is great. However, there are only 15 lockers, and when they are full, you will be directed to the public bathhouse, so of course you will not be able to go to the overnight stay. This simple explanation is incomprehensible. No matter how many times I checked with the person in charge at the front desk, they were too polite (?) and I couldn't understand. No matter how many times I ask it, it doesn't make sense. Ask for help from a member of the public (someone you know?) who just happened to come by and say something like, "Not at all." It feels bad. Please think of a way to explain this system in an easy-to-understand way.

A large country hotel on a hill. They also do weddings, but the decorations inside the building are tasteless. The only good thing was the hot springs. The food was average. There was nothing around, so I booked a two-meal plan, but it was not good value for money. There is a free shuttle to the station. The view is supposed to be good because it's on a hill, but the weather was bad and I couldn't see a good view.

We stayed here for one night on August 30th as a couple using the JAL package. The front desk staff, restaurant staff, and bathing facility staff were all very friendly and helpful, and had a customer service mindset. We were also satisfied with the rooms, dinner, and breakfast. However, the manager Sawabata, who handled our complaint, was the worst and disappointing. The complaint details are as follows: A customer (a local resident) using the attached day-use bathing facility had the door to the sauna wide open and was talking loudly for a long time. When we warned them, they loudly retorted, "We're ventilating the sauna! What's wrong with that!" We were looking forward to using the sauna, but we were unable to use it at all. There was also a customer (also a local) with a tattoo bathing, and it was not a relaxing atmosphere at all, which made us feel very uncomfortable. We came out of the facility midway and appealed to the manager Sawabata directly to put up a new "silent bathing" sign and to strictly regulate bathing for customers with tattoos, but no matter what we said, he just kept saying, "Oh, I see," which made us feel suspicious to the max. Even though I told them to deal with the problem immediately because the nuisance customer was still in the bathroom, they didn't respond. As mentioned before, the employees on-site are very well trained, but Manager Sawabata is a failure! I feel sorry for the employees who are working so hard. Shouldn't Manager Sawabata also take customer service training?! It ruined our precious trip. Manager Sawabata, please reflect on your actions!
