Muscat Hotels with Breakfast

My recent stay at the Mandarin Oriental Muscat was overall enjoyable, with several notable highlights. The hotel’s location near the beachfront is fantastic, offering stunning views of Muscat and the surrounding mountains. The interiors are beautifully designed, featuring natural materials that create a luxurious and calming atmosphere. The rooms were ultra-comfortable, with excellent beds and top-quality linens that made for a great night’s sleep. I also appreciated the thoughtful in-room amenities, including good tea, a Nespresso machine, and water in glass bottles—a healthy and eco-friendly touch. The shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner provided were of great quality, and the dental kits were decent. However, I did notice that some toothpaste tubes weren’t fresh, as the paste had become solid and dry in a few sets. Additionally, the shaving kit was of the cheapest level, which didn’t align with the otherwise high standards of the hotel. Breakfast was good but not quite up to the level typically expected from Mandarin Oriental. There’s definitely room for improvement here, but I believe this is something the hotel will refine over time. The staff were polite and professional, which added to the overall positive experience. Considering the hotel is still new, I’d rate the overall experience, including the price/value ratio, as 3.5 out of 5. I’m confident that with time, the hotel will address these minor gaps and elevate the experience to match the impeccable standards the brand is known for.

It’s a very big hotel with apartments and hotels.right in the middle of the grand mall. Very convenient for eat drink and children arcade. Very close to the grand mosque. But taking 20 mins to drive to the old market. It’s a good value very clean super comfortable bed and good size room.

I like this hotel that has a lot of good features. I booked on half board dinner is awful. It cost me 10 extra dollars to book dinner and breakfast and really the dinner wasn't worth the $5 if you divide the meals evenly. The fish was putrid and the selection was substandard. I did manage to get $5 worth of food out of the dinner buffet. I like eggplant luckily. The room's very nice they have two pools one for women only which I would never use and they don't sell alcohol here. Those are the bad points. The room isn't very good condition The housekeeper is a very nice man. The added benefit to staying in this hotel is that it does have one washer and one dryer and I have three loads of filthy clothes. I'm in the process of doing my last load currently. Another bad thing about this hotel is they block you from using the Wi-Fi the minute you step outside so you could use their overpriced taxis. You have to use the Wi-Fi from inside that way you can access your taxi apps and not use the overprice taxis here. The taxis are about 80% more. I would stay here again due to the low price of the bookingand the good condition of the room. Skip dinner there is a fantastic Turkish place in the nearest mall that's about an 8 minute walk..

Disappointing week in a disappointing hotel. From the moment we landed in Oman, the intercontinental hotel was not helpful. When we asked for a taxi, they wouldn’t help us and we had to arrange ourselves. When we asked if we had a sea view, we were told “we had a partial sea view” which was actually a car park and a loud generator which rattled on all through the night. The generator was so loud we had to keep the balcony doors closed all the time. However, one night, even with the doors closed we were kept awake until 3am with loud bangs and clatters from hotel staff loading up vans with furniture after an event at the hotel. When we asked about booking the onsite restaurants, we were told they were all closed apart from the main one. Multiple times when we went to the main restaurant we were told it was too busy and we had to wait and come back later. When we did get into the restaurant, we often had to wait long times for food to be replaced or we given paper cups because they’d run out of glasses! When we tried to get the WiFi at the pool, there was none. When we tried to use the creams in the room, they’d run out. The staff were lovely and the food was nice but altogether, we didn’t feel looked after and definitely don’t feel this is a 5* hotel.

Amazing Experience at JW Marriott, Muscat My stay at JW Marriott Muscat was incredible from start to finish. The pool was fantastic—clean, spacious, and perfect for relaxing. The food was another highlight, with a wide variety of delicious options that catered to every taste. The staff was friendly and attentive, ensuring everything went smoothly throughout my stay. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious and comfortable experience in Muscat!

I loved my stay at the Sheraton Oman. The staff were wonderful- they bent over backwards to help us. I had a couple minor issues with my room, and they came as soon as I informed them, and were fixed immediately. One of the housekeepers picked up the robe I’d been using when they were cleaning and when I asked for a replacement they brought 2 more! They were happy to bring me extra nespresso pods and milk a couple times too. The restaurant staff were so attentive and helpful- Tharindu, Pravda and Khalid and the chef, Krishna- they brought us out coffees and juices at breakfast and made sure I had everything I needed. They allowed my friend and I to eat off the a la carte menu at dinner instead of the iftar menu, since the other hotel restaurants were closed for Ramadan; and when we said we had to leave early at 5am for our flight they packed a lovely to-go box with pastries, fruit, coffee, juice and eggs. I personally really appreciated that the gym was open 24 hours so I could work out before breakfast, and the equipment was pretty good for a hotel gym! My only note for other travelers would be that the hotel is a little far from some of the touristy sights of Muscat. Also, there aren’t many alternative food options around the hotel. But the hotel itself has lots of great options so for us it worked out absolutely fine.

I had a wonderful time in Intercity hotel bawshar! It is located within a 3 mins drive to the newest mall in Oman - Mall of Oman. The hotel offers a shuttle to bring you to Mall of Oman at specific times. You can ring them to arrange for a pick up back to the hotel when you are done shopping and dining! It's near the airport and all the main tourist attractions. The hotel is new, bed is super comfy and the housekeeper Perera and the staff in the restaurant like Aamir make you feel absolutely at home. It's a small hotel but it has a gym and a pool with one restaurant. Would strongly recommend this hotel!

We felt this hotel had a very good central location in Muscat especially if you're driving. There are two malls close by and quite a few shops and restaurants. The hotel had plenty of free parking in a parking garage underneath as well. The rooms were comfy and quiet and we had a very large king size bed. The rooms are nicely appointed with a mini fridge, tea station, TV, desk, chair and lots of storage. The bathroom was nice too but we felt the water pressure in the shower could be better. The amenities at the hotel were decent as well. The breakfast that is included has a good mix of Arabic and western items including live egg and waffle/pancake stations. The rooftop pool, sauna and jacuzzi were all nice touches as well but we wish the signage to get to the pool was better as it cannot be accessed via the main elevator. Overall, it was a convenient base for us to explore Muscat and Oman at a good price. The rooms are quiet and comfy and worth a stay.

From checking in to checking out it was faultless. Brilliant hotel, great facilities, great food and awesome customer service! Room was perfect Gym was perfect Pool was perfect Breakfast was amazing Coffee bar/ reception area and outside sitting area fantastic. Also 2 fantastic restaurants outside but attached to the hotel and 4 brilliant coffee shops one of which is a Starbucks and the only one I didn’t visit. Without doubt I’d stay here again. 10/10 especially for what I paid.

Nice location and good price for what you're getting. They don't give you any basic add-ons though like toothbrush, slippers etc. Overall, good value for money.
