Another fabulous stay at BQ Alcudia Sun Village. The whole complex is absolutely immaculately maintained, it is so clean and safe for children to enjoy the pools. There are always lots of activities taking place and the entertainment team are very enthusiastic and fantastic with the children and always so happy. The beds are very comfy and the apartments are cleaned to a high standard. The restaurant provides a huge selection of good quality food and there is always plenty available. The staff in the restaurant and bar areas are always busy but always happy to have a chat. They make sure everything is clean.i would never hesitate to recommend and we shall certainly return again and we can’t wait. A special thankyou to Walter on reception when we arrived. Our flight was delayed and it was midnight when we arrived but he made sure we were very quickly checked in and had a cup of tea and snack. Thank you it was much appreciated.

Rooms were basic and a little small for a family of four. They were however in good shape and kept very clean by daily visits from maid. The entire hotel and grounds were kept spotless by cleaners and gardeners. Hotel staff, bar staff and entertainment staff were all exceptional. Very friendly, very helpful, great with kids. Bit of a language barrier, staff only knew very basic English, but enough to get by. We went all inclusive, and found it great value for money. Large range of food at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Also pool snack bar had a decent range of food. Ice creams always available, and drinks. Cocktails started at 1800 until 2300. Kids entertainment in evenings was very repetitive, but they still enjoyed it. Adult entertainment changed every night, and was mostly very good. Activities throughout the day for kids and adults was varied and fun. Everything from football, volleyball, rifling, mini golf, water polo, tennis etc.... Two pools were great and never busy. Don't know if it gets busy at different months, but we had perfect amount of guests in June. Negatives- Hotel location isn't great. You're close to the beach (which is lovely), but you're close to nothing else. Lots of little Spar convenience stores, but nothing else of interest. It's at least a 45 minute walk to get to busier part of town with restaurants and shops to visit. Buses are regular but usually so packed you get turned away. Taxi prices are reasonable but can be an hours wait for it to turn up, if at all. If your pick up is after your checkout time, you can pay to extend your check out time. This was good, but I personally found it a little pricey at €40. In general this hotel was fantastic, and I think it deserves four stars, rather than the three it currently holds. I definitely recommend!

Great hotel....But DO NOT EXCEPT ROOM 43 AT ANY COST...The smell of sewerage is REALLY REALLY REALLY . It has made us(a couple)swollen face, being physically sick, gasbing for air, wheezing, dizzy. Went to reception on the 3rd morning as we just couldn't stand it any more to say about it and as soon as we said the room number the receptionist face said it all(we think well they MUST of had complaints before). All they did was send housekeeping to put lemon disinfectant down shower trap. We have been sleeping on the balcony now for approximately the last 5/6 nights as so bad.

After over 10 years of visiting this hotel, that was the last visit! After all day of travelling we arrived late, checked in and ask if there is possibility of getting something to drink as all of us were exhausted, we didn't expect to be shout at.. One member of staff named Jose jump on us yelling that everything is closed and how dear we even ask!! That was just a start to a lovely hospitality. Few days later we met an old friend at the bar, ex member of staff who worked there for 15 years, bare in mind everyone is welcome there(bar) not only hotel guests, nevertheless Jose once again, refused serving him as he join us and asked him to leave causing a scene without any reason at all! Next day one of us receive a call from reception to meet a "director" of this establishment Maria Del Mar. Let me just say that was most horrendous experience. Whole conversation, if you could call it that, was packed with questions like "why did we came there?" that we are the problem and if anything else "happens" she will kick us out the hotel!!! Till today we have no idea what was that about, why we were treated the way we were. She mentioned Joses name so we can only assume it has something to do with us asking about drink on arrival or the bar situation in which we were not involved at all, we simply try to enjoy ourselves and then our friend was kicked out without the reason. She didn't ask one question about any of those situations, we were treated like we were causing trouble without even knowing it. We mind our business, didn't bother anyone so till today we have no idea what happened there. She's quite new there, we knew the old director (it's worth mentioning that Jose is new there as well) we never ever had any experience of this kind in this hotel. Her lack of professionalism and hospitality speaks volumes. If she thinks this is the way to treat people she obviously needs training or better, change of profession as she is absolutely not suitable for this position. As for Jose the "second boss" as he announced to everyone (pathetic) there is no comment. No idea what is he even doing there but what can one expect when the director of the hotel has this kind of approach to her work and responsibilities. We had holiday booked there later this year which we of course cancelled as we never coming back there.

I wasn’t sure what to expect with the mixed reviews but this place is fine. The pirate ship pool area is excellent, couldn’t get my kids out of it, the other 2 pools are very good too. Plenty of little parks for the kids around the complex. The restaurant was clean and the staff were attentive. The food we had was of good quality and we were never left hungry although I would say there wasn’t a great amount of choice for vegetarians, really only one option each meal. The only let down was the room, it was a bit dated and basic and the smell was awful, it alternated between wet dog/damp (presumably from the air conditioning) and sewage. We didn’t ask to be moved as the sewage smell was evident around most of the apartments so I doubt it would have gotten any better and we really only slept in there. On the plus side the room was very clean and the shower was powerful. I’d stay here again as the pool really kept the kids entertained but I’d try and book an upgraded room.

Lovely hotel, we came with our two children 5 & 7 for 5 nights, they loved it. The pools are perfect for young children, and it’s only a short walk down to the beach where there’s plenty of shops and bars. We booked self catering, you can upgrade at reception however we bought food from the snack bar and didn’t rate it enough to do so, but used the bar often which is reasonably priced. There’s plenty of good bars and restaurants around the area, however the restaurant food on site looked good and we probably would have booked all inclusive if we’d been staying longer. The whole site is spacious and kept very clean and tidy, the staff are brilliant. The entertainment starts quite late for young children but they enjoyed it, especially the magic show! Overall a great holiday, the hotel’s beautiful and fairly quiet, very family friendly. We stayed in a 1 bedroom apartment, it had a double bedroom then a couch and pull out bed, all very comfortable. Mosquitoes in the whole area were relentless though, for me anyway, (the rest of my family hardly had a bite between them), so come prepared incase!

An amazing family hotel - there are so many attractions for children that it's hard to count - including face painting and pony ride, amazing swimming pool for kids etc. Delicious, varied food (B&B in our case). We chose a 1-bedroom apartment and it was an excellent choice: lots of space, terrace, kitchenette, fridge, TV, large bathroom. 5-star service, especially at the reception. They were always there to help 24/7. We needed extra sheets - no problem, we needed a thermometer to check our daughter's temperature - no problem. We needed advice - no problem. The last day of our stay and check-out until 12AM they offered us to stay until our transfer to the airport arrives at 5:45PM - we could spend more time on the beach. WE REALLY FELT THAT THE SERVICE WAS THERE FOR US - huge respect. Beautiful beach and restaurants just around the corner. People complain about mosquitoes, but come on... anyone who has already been to Majorca knows that mosquitoes are everywhere there, in every hotel, on every playground, and even on the beach. Based on our previous experience in Majorca, the first thing we did was plug in mosquito repellent into the wall ( cost a little fortune in stores there, so take it with you) and kids version in spray for little one when go out. Thank you very much for everything. It was unforgettable experience. Muchas gracias por unas maravillosas vacaciones :)

This was the first holiday abroad for my Granddaughters and it was everything we wanted for them. The facilities were brilliant. Pools, food, entertainment were all excellent and the staff were amazing. Great memories were mad at this resort, and we couldn't have asked for more. I would definitely go back.
