Where to begin! We have returned from the most wonderful week at Ibersotar Selection Albufera Playa and I honestly cannot wait to return. Below is my lengthy and honest review. Firstly, I'd like to say how friendly and helpful all staff at the resort were, but with particular focus on Karl and Klara at reception. I struggled to join the hotel Wi-Fi on the first night, and both were incredibly helpful in getting me online, particularly Klara who refused to be defeated when it seemed impossible! Both are a credit to the hotel. Thank you. The rooms - we booked a shared swim up pool room. I knew upon booking that this was just a small side pool and that most of the rooms here didn't open up onto it. Sadly, we got one of these rooms. I don't think it was worth the extra spend as (unusually for us) we didn't venture out onto the patio at all as a result. I think when we re-book, we will opt for a standard room or a sea view so we can enjoy the balcony. Room itself was spotlessly clean and well equipped. Pools - there were several pools to choose from, we opted for a quieter one at the top of the resort that was away from the activities and kids area. Never had an issue with finding a sun lounger and unlike other resorts we have been to, we didn't have to get up super early either! Huge bonus for us! We were able to go have a leisurely breakfast and still managed to find a prime spot. Food - Excellent for an all inclusive! Every taste was catered too, including some vegan options. We dined in the Greek and Spanish restaurants with the Tapas at the Spanish being a highlight. Drinks - I don't drink alcohol, yet the options available were plentiful! Lots of mocktails to choose from both on and off the menu. You just needed to ask. The bar staff were all brilliant at mixing, served you promptly and were engaging and friendly. Animation Teams - we don't usually bother watching the evening entertainment, but we did enjoy a couple of shows whilst there. Really good performances and they drew a huge crowd! Sustainability - this resort was exceptional in this area! From having water stations dotted around the resort, reusable cups and not a sign of single use plastic to clearly segregated recycling points. They really are on top of things here. Huge plus point. Overall, I can confidently say we will return to this resort. It was beautifully laid out, landscaped to such an incredibly high standard, spotlessly clean and in a great location. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in Mallorca.

I am writing this review 3 days into a 10 day break at this wonderful hotel. Please ignore recent reviews commenting negatively about staff and facilities. Quite simply they are a load of rubbish or written about a hotel we simply don’t recognise! There are plenty of people looking after us and plenty of space (e.g. we trundle down to the pool around 10:30 and easily get a bed). The food is quite simply superb - other than Creta Maris in Crete we have not eaten better (and this is a close second). Fresh, delicious and a huge variety. The staff are very attentive - there if you need them, discretely in the background if you don’t. The room is fine for my daughter and the hotel has benefited from an extensive refurbishment in the past few years. Drinks of all kinds are in plentiful supply. We’re having a wonderful time and would thoroughly recommend this hotel.
