We stayed one night while travelling across Austria, and wanted to visit Murtalbahn historic steam train entertainments. Nice hotel with good quality rooms and breakfast, cute small Murau old town, spectacular views into mountains. Perfect place to stay few days with a family for active leisure time - bicycling, active walking, or just relaxing next to Mur river.

Perfect stay for my family. The first night we had a perty in the room next to us, we coul barely sleep; unfortunately the reception is available till 22:00, so we could not do anything about it. However next morning, when I complained about it at the reception they immediately gave us another room (actually, two - since we travelled with our kids, and this is how they could solve the situation), no question raised, solved the issue right on the spot. Great guest service, thank you!

THIS SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT AND SMALLER JUFA HOTEL IN MURAU IS IN A GOOD, QUIET LOCATION, JUST A FEW STEPS TO THE MUR AND THE OLD TOWN. CATERING (HB) BREAKFAST BUFFET EVENING MENU IS VERY GOOD AND THE QUANTITY IS PLENTY. ROOMS ARE A LITTLE SMALL BUT BIG ENOUGH FOR 2 PEOPLE. STAFF FRIENDLY.

Wir waren übers Wochenende in Murau und waren sehr zufrieden. Schönes Familienhotel, zentral gelegen. Zimmer sauber und Personal sehr freundlich. Den Kids (Jugendlichen) hat es auch gefallen. Genügend Parkplätze vorm Haus vorhanden.

Eigentlich war unser Aufenthalt durchaus angenehm (Zimmer, Betten, Sauberkeit), nur hat uns das Abendessen überhaupt nicht geschmeckt und das Auschecken war wirklich unangenehm: wir hatten auf unserer Getränke-Rechnung viele Getränke, die wir nicht konsumiert hatten und die Dame an der Rezeption hat uns eher das Gefühl gegeben, Lügner und Betrüger zu sein, als sich für die Unannehmlichkeiten und Missverständnisse zu entschuldigen. Wenn man als Hotelgast etwas konsumiert, wird man nach seiner Zimmernummer gefragt, aber es gibt keinen Beleg dazu, den man unterschreiben muss. So kommt es dann zu der Situation, dass Aussage gegen Aussage steht, wenn die Angaben nicht stimmen. Sehr unangenehm und wäre leicht zu ändern!

Sehr freundliches Personal, saubere Zimmer, das Hotel als Ganzes sehr gepflegt. ABER: die Auswahl am Buffet, hauptsächlich zum Abendessen war dafür dass es ein Familienhotel ist, unter jeder Kritik. Wir waren schon in verschiedenen JUFA Hotels und kennen es definitiv besser. Es gab jeden Tag eine Cremesuppe und eine klare Suppe mit verschiedenen Einkagen - keine Tag gab es frischen Schnittlauch. Es gab jeweils zwei bis drei Hauptspeisen, wo on eine jeweils vegetarisch war. Dazu gab es immer nur eine Beilage (mal Erbsenreis, mal gekochte Kartoffeln). Salatauswahl war in Ordnung, leuder jedoch KEIN EINZIGES Dressing. Es gab drei Fruchtessige und 3 verschiedene Öle. Ein weiterer Minuspunkt: die Obstschale am Buffet war an allen vier Tagen die wir vor Ort waren, leer. Zum Frühstück gab es zwar geschnittene Ananas, Melonen und Trauben, aber keinen Apfel, keine Banane, etc.

Interessant, dass, wenn man ein JUFA-Hotel bewertet, auswählen kann zwischen "Geschäftsreise" und gereist "Als Paar", bzw. "Alleine"...ich dachte JUFA steht für JUng FAmilien. Murau ist kein Neubau und hat dadurch einen eigenen Flair, aber auch seine Tücken, denn das Gebäude ist recht verwinkelt. Es gibt ausreichend Parkplätze, obwohl fast im Ortszentrum gelegen. Es gibt genug Räumlichkeiten sich frei zu bewegen. Das Zimmer was schön, aber leicht abgewohnt. Das Frühstück war gut, aber überschaubar, manchmal war ein vermeintlich sauberes Glas schmutzig und die Melonen fielen über den Anrichtteller hinaus. Ab und zu musste man auf Nachlieferung warten. Die Brauerei ist in Gehweite, eine Ladestation für E-Autos am Parkplatz vorhanden.
