Wonderful hotel , amazing staff and great food. The chalets are perfect as a base and very clean. The staff are friendly and food is a very good standard. Very clean and tidy. The hotel owner even gave us a lift to the airport after a mix up with numbers on the coach. Such an amazing location and we would go back again ASAP.

The impact of Jeris Lakeside on its environment is not in keeping with all the clean air and sustainability claims that the company is making. Idling company cars are parked at the hotel entrance, say 2 meters from the main door, for lengthy times. Same for room maintenance in the village, also at plus C temparatures. Snowmobile sledges are abandoned across ski tracks at down hills. Hotel provides plastic sleds in hotel yard, handily at the foot of the sign prohibiting toboganing in hotel yard. There is also private property in the village. They co-finance the skiing track maintenance. A lot of maintenance is needed as tracks are used as walking paths by hotel quests. Snowshoes seem to need a prepared skiing track too, not what snowshoes are made for, one would think. Following the indicated one-way ski track signs does not apply to walkers, not a small risk for the less nimble skier like kids and the elderly meeting them when navigating down a one-way marked skiing-only track. There is always a discomfortable surprise when these issues are mentioned to hotel guests. Toujours surprise total. Maahisen majalle yksisuuntaista latua matkaavien taaperoiden on varottava muna-asennossa kiellettyyn suuntaan tulevia mestarihiihtäjiä. Guided consideration and self-guidance much needed, welcomed and appreciated. Like in the old days.

Stayed here for one week in a 2-3 persons cabin, 810. Lovely memories of this trip. We saw the Northern light 3 times. Staff at reception desk, restaurant, cleaning and guides are friendly and helpful. Meals were good, buffet style, no complaints except for the drink prices...8-9 € for a beer and starting from 35€ for a bottle of wine. We had an "all in excursion program" which was perfect organised and very good performed ! Great and safe assistance from the guides. Must say that it was the second time that we did the same type of excursions but this was in another place and the ones who are available here at Jeris were, (except for the icehotel which was a huge disappointment compared with the one we saw in Levi), were longer and better. The thermal suite and other accessories which are provided are very good and clean ! Please note that the 4-6 person chalets are quite a hike uphill from the reception/restaurant, can only recommend these when you have a car ! Can highly recommend this resort and we would surely like to come back again.

You have travelled litterally in to middle of no where and staying in a cabin. Could be lovely. Instead of feeling welcome you are not alloved to dine at hotel restaurant??? At very same establisnent... No service but almost rude behavior from staff. Never again! Lapland is wonderful this place is not. :(

This hotel is simply brilliant. It has no airs or graces cos it does need anything. The jerisranta cabins are lovely and plenty of room with a changing entrance clothes dryer lounge / kitchet. You even have your own little sauna. The facilities at the hotel are just what you need unless you want down hill skiing. Snowshoes to cross country skiing to snowmobiles. We came with Regency travel and bought a ultimate Lapland experience which had everything we wanted. The hotel is full board and the food is lovely and plentiful. All the staff are lovely and friendly nothing is too much. I would defiantly recommend it no questions. If you are looking for night life and parties maybe go else where. If you are looking for price and quite and a real slice of Finland this is the place. At night you can venture out on to the lake and hope to see the north lights. The thermal clothes they give you are excellent quality and really do the job over your own warm clothes. ( boots, all in one, socks and balaclava, mittens with wool liners). They also do a good line in real ales. Negatives really only that drink is pricey, but that is Finland all over, we brought some with us to have in the cabin and no real lounge area in the hotel but there is a bar and you can us the restaurant area which over looks the lake. Also recommend you use the sauna world which is in the hotel grounds great place to watch the sunsets, get a massage and enjoy the 4 types of sauna.

We had a lovely week, great expeditions. The cabin and food were good. But unfortunately it ended very badly. The suitcase was very badly damaged and the employee simply left it there without saying anything. The hotel is not responsible for the damage.

The hotel offers beautiful bungalows that are placed in various places in nature. These are spaciously furnished and equipped with all amenities. They offer wonderful packages with excursion possibilities, the guides are super good and ensure that you can do unforgettable trips with the snow scooters, huskies, reindeer ... The staff in the restaurant, sauna and other places is very friendly and helpful. The only downside is the reception, there they are not really helpful and cooperative towards the excursions, especially a middle-aged lady was not really helpful and too businesslike. But for the rest it is really a topper and your visit is more than worth it.

Dazu gehören u.a. Husky Safari, Rentierschlitten Safari, Motorschlitten Safari, Schneeschuhwanderung. Dem Hotel angeschlossen ist die Artic Sauna World, die wir aufgrund der eigenen Sauna nicht besucht haben. Aber man kann dort auch Massagen buchen. Da man fast alles in dieser Welt kaufen kann, nur das Wetter nicht, hatten wir mit den Nordlichtern nicht so viel Glück. Aber das macht bei der Natur drumherum nicht viel aus.
