Hotels near Neue Pinakothek in Munich

First, this hotel is not a Marriott, Hilton or Hyatt. It is a ”boutique” hotel that has great rooms, great bedding, nice finishes, and easy in / out. It is about a 8 minute walk from the city center. It is also close to a number of tech companies within 5 minutes walk. Loved this hotel and the daily service and look forward to staying again!

Wow. The Service was simply amazing. We travelled with a little child. The staff arranged a nice crib for our baby, the foldable type but with its own clean cushion, bedsheets and towels. The hotel’s design is simple, our room was super clean, it smelled nice and it had a nice warm temperature. We are super happy to have stayed here and congratulate the management and employees for their customer centered service.

Really clean hotel about 15 minutes walk from the Munchen bus station. Very friendly staff. Basic facilities with plenty of electric points. Modern decor and good television and clean bathroom with basic toiletries.

The stay at this hotel was quite an experience indeed. It was strange that the family and I had to wheel in all our numerous luggage to the rooms ourselves without assistance or that even during some cold days in Munich our rooms felt rather hot since the hotel doesn't turn on air conditioning during certain months. You'd think with experiences like that that I would give this place a negative review but save for the enjoyable evenings I had at the lounge with their FnB manager, Bojan L. Who was attentive, hilarious, speedy and entertaining. That man is amazing and has been the highlight of my stay in Munich. Thanks Bojan, the Bubbas miss you and hope to see you again at a future stay.

So my review is a mixed one, partly positive but deeply dampened by two factors: Firstly, Wombat’s has come to be known as one of if not the party hostel in Munich. That being said - there was no party/pub crawl! (Barring the first night of my stay). This was disappointing, but this was mitigated by the absolutely amazing hosts and guests that I encountered during my stay. I’ll add here that my room was spacious, had a comfy bed and had a great safety system in place for valuables. Now for the second bad bit and this is something I didn’t bring up with them directly as I didn’t want to cause the person I would speak to any distress, but this hostel clearly caters to racists. Above my shower room door (Room 304), there were racial slurs for a number of races and I found it disgusting. How are Black people, white people and Asians supposed to feel comfortable when this what they see in the bathroom? This has to be addressed swiftly or Wombat’s will suffer in the long run.

The hotel is beautiful. It is set right beside the English garden. Simply gorgeous. It is a little bit far from the main attractions of town. For example, Marion plots, and the glockenspiel. However, that simple taxi ride will get you there. The lobby is grand, and the staff is quite attentive. However, this is where we need to talk about the missing details. Some of the night staff did not speak almost any English. This made communicating quite difficult. I had this crazy experience of trying to get some ice cream for room service at around 1030 at night. Depending on who we spoke to, you could or could not get anything at that time. This is where two employees actually try to help me and go above. Anisa and Said. We finally got the ice cream. The chocolate ice cream was absolutely delicious. More details… All the hotels are strongly, encouraging guests to save water by reusing towels. I completely agree with this initiative. But if that’s the case, why couldn’t they give us a few more simple hooks in the bathroom? Another detail for hotel: shower temperature control is a mess after flushing toilet! Ouch. Breakfast area is very good. Good selection of food. Staff great. Very attentive. I would suggest longer shields in front of the food since everyone is sneezing everywhere. Another annoying detail - give water out for free! If we’re paying so much for the hotel, then the water should be free. As it is right now, you are charging almost 4 euros for one small bottle of water. That’s a rip off. I’m sure most of the clientele can afford the water bottle, but this really is a rip off. The going rate is actually about one or maybe two Euros . Don’t disrespect us with such ridiculous charges. Anyway, highly recommend this place. Would stay here again.

Feel want to stay longer in this hotel..the room is superb clean and all amenities are high end..love the body lotions and shower jell smell so clam and relax. Check in process is fast and the front desk staff all are very friendly and helpful. The location just 8 steps from the Munchen Hbf simply walk to the next behind of Starbucks escalator when you are up to the ground you can see NH Collection Hotell..feel so happy after long journey from Jakarta Indonesia. Didn't try the breakfast so can't tell you how. Marienplatz just 10 minutes by walking. Easy to get almost everything I need..chinese food at the next door and all coffee shops and supermarket..shopping malls and many more..highly recommend Hotel in Munchen for all types of travelers The room has many spaces for travelers and the shower was perfect and easy-to-use

Friendly cozy hotel, good small breakfast, location kinda like you are in muslim country, I guess it was muslim area, close to main train stn but due to construction noisy and messy

Super clean and tidy, the whole hostel is cosy and chill. The hostel locates at a modern community for youth, so that you can find everything nearby. Check-in procedures is quick. The only thing is that storing luggage (in a locker) needs 5 Euro.

I have stayed at a variety of different hotels surrounding the Munich train station over the past couple of years. In the last two years I have stayed at three different hotels. On my last visit, I tried the Eden Hotel Wolff. It is directly right across the street from the main entrance (so actually the closest hotel to the station), and it was fabulous. Modern, clean & excellent value for this great convenience. Our room was ready early, and was spotless & very comfortable. The bar & restaurants served up excellent food. At the bar, the waiter went out of his way to find me some home made chips to go with my arrival cocktail (snacks were not on the menu, but I asked anyway - and they delivered). The only thing I would recommend is to get a rate with breakfast included. The breakfast buffet is exceptional, but if it's not included in your rate, it's quite pricey. I will be staying her on my next visit. Thank you management & staff for a very pleasant stay.
