An un-planned two-night stay here, necessitated by the temporary failure of Lufthansa, was a pleasant experience as the hotel offered a large and comfortable room with great heating and good (if older) ensuite amenities. It doesn't look like 'posh' hotel, but it was comfortable and the location is great for the Hbf rail station -and for one of the nightlife areas. It isn't a long walk from the old town either. The staff were friendly and helpful and the price was reasonable.

Very good location with the airport express bus stopping right in front of the hotel. Directly opposite Munich central train station. Next door is a small convenience store. Extremely good value for money with room big enough for 4 beds, many power outlets and all bedsides came with bedside reading lights. Has a desk for traveller who needs to catch up with some work. Toilet is well equipped complete with clean towels, heater, hot water & great shower area. Wardrobe is large and this is supplemented by an additional hanging rod beside it. Room had a musty smell when we first entered but this dissipated quickly once we opened the large window to let him fresh (& super cool (cold?) air. Reception gave us a brand new kettle (packaging intact with all the plastic coverings) and this helps us to eat some instant noodles- we checked in too late to have any decent meal. Highly recommended to travellers who need an overnight stay to catch a train the next day from Munich central train station. Our experience is contrary to those who wrote negative reviews.
Augusten Hotel

Spent three nights here for a conference in Munich. Reception: surly on check-in; otherwise, friendly and helpful. Room small, clean, reasonably comfortable. Given past reviews, insisted on an upper floor, away from the street, which is recommended: tram outside the hotel is noisy and runs through the night. WiFi poor: constant prompts to log in again (and again). TV has no English language channels, despite the guide in the room (no BBC, no CNN). Did not take the hotel breakfast: highly recommend Böcklin Coffee, just a short distance away.

We stayed here for a number of nights in June. The apartment was very spacious and comfortable. We slept really well, as it was located to the rear of the building, so was nice and quiet. Really appreciated the kitchen area which had a fridge, microwave, kettle and dishwasher, as well as a 4-ring hob. The bathroom was lovely and spacious and the walk-in shower was excellent with lots of hot water and good water power too. The apartment is very close to Munich Hautbanhof and its U and S services. There are lots of shops one level below the street. There's also a Lidl close by, so plenty of choice for supplies. (Shops close on Sunday, so be prepared for that. ) We were delighted to find the laundry area on the first floor of the Aparthotel. There are two washers and a drier, coin operated, so make sure you've got some Euro coins. We really appreciated being able to wash some clothes.
Hotel Antares

My wife and I stayed at the Hotel Antares in Munich on Dec 7-8 2019. The location of the hotel is not bad but not great. The hotel was clean and most of the staff was courteous. The staff was not able or willing to give any advice or assistance with anything outside of the hotel, subway, restaurants, attractions, etc... The main thing to keep in mind is the room size. We had a standard double room and it is small! They do give you the size of the room in sq meters so there is no deception; but keep in mind the furniture takes up most of that space to the point that our bed was against the wall at the head and left side of the bed. Also, they requested that you leave your room key at the desk when you left the hotel, we found that a bit strange. When we return to Munich, we will stay further from the city center at a hotel that is convenient to the subway; lower cost and more convenient.
Downtown VI Vadi Hotel

Hotel grades (referring to renovations, facilities) may be close to the domestic all-season hotel level, in fact quite normal, but there are wins in the own kitchen, you can cook something. There is a kettle. Double bed 1.5 m bed. In addition, most German hotels do not have air conditioning, and there is one electric fan. It was not too hot at night, and the fan was adequately ventilated. There are subway u2 lines in 3 minutes. Very close to the train station. Walk to the Marienplatz for 29 minutes and walk to the Deutsches Museum for 54 minutes. Looking at the 9-year-old child while walking, I feel that it is okay. Take a taxi to the airport for 34 minutes. In addition, there is a supermarket on the left side of the hotel. Others don't seem to have much to visit.
