Hotels Near Townline Square in Mundelein

Decided to stay here last minute rather than risk violating Chicago’s curfew (9:00 p.m.). Reviewed their website before booking and was impressed by their protocol for addressing cleaning COVID-19 issues — touchless check in, etc. I booked online but directly with IHG (not through a third-party) and payed full price. Wearing a face covering, I at the property and found that none of the claims on their website re: COVID-19 protocols were true. No touchless checkin. Two women were working the small reception area — neither one wore a mask. And, although they had my information from my reservation / booking, they required me to fill out two forms while they were some two to three feet away. It was after 11:00 p.m. and searching another hotel at that hour presented other risks. So, I stayed — hoping for the best. Didn’t notice a single precaution in the room. I could go on but you get the point. As I walked into the lobby to check out the next morning (again, wearing a mask), I asked the woman working at reception what their policy was re: face coverings. She looked at and me and assured me that, yes, they were face coverings — as she pulled one from her face and put it on. NOTE: I am not writing this review to be critical of the individuals I encountered working at the property. They are trying to get by like everyone else. The problem here is that the policies advertised on the website either don’t exist or aren’t properly implemented / enforced.

Stayed here 3 nights on a visit to Lovell FHCC (15 minutes down the road). Nice Hampton Inn. Friendly staff, decent breakfast. Standard all around. Positives. Nice warm breakfast. Very friendly staff. Close to restaurants & Lovell FHCC. Bed was excellent, and warm. Pillows were ok. Thermostat - yes! in a Chicago snow storm this was key. Fridge - nice to have for sure. Negatives -y The lamp on the desk was odd. The lampshade was huge, and it wasn't adjustable - so basically was in the way. the shower is rather narrow, and you have to be sure to have both doors closed when starting it -- or the floor gets soaked. Towels - cheap hotel ones. Toilet paper - like boot camp sandpaper There isn't a lot to eat nearby, so head into downtown Libertyville - Mickey Finn's is a great spot for one. We are currently staying here while I make this review. This is our 5th day here. We have 2 rooms. It’s clean and tidy, pool is not heated which is a bummer as kids love to swim but it’s snowing at this time even though it isn’t winter yet. Housekeeping is great, the ladies tried to speak english as I tried to speak Spanish. Breakfast was better than other hotels and the lady staff was very pleasant and attentive. The place is not in a busy area which we liked as my daughter’s daycare is just beside this hotel. The front desk person I spoke with though this afternoon needs training in customer service as his service was -meeeeeh. I asked him a question about looking at another room with connecting door, I got complete silence with him looking through printed papers... I waited in complete silence for him to acknowledge that he heard me but he just clicked on the keyboard making me guess if he heard me at all. I asked if he heard me and said,”yes, I’m checking the rooms.” It’s either he is really not a friendly and approachable person but he as a front liner should learn to have these customer service traits. I guess it’s not just me as my husband also noted it first day when he checked the rooms. We are moving to another hotel nearby anyway.

Everything is convenient

I have stayed at the days inn about 10 times and have never been disappointed. The location is great, room is clean and quiet. Staff is outstanding. Breakfast is typical for a days in. I highly recommend this hotel.

Stayed here for my son's bootcamp graduation. Had no issues with anything everyone here was very friendly. It's close to base and other amenities. It is in a buisness park so it was away from the craziness. Would definitely stay here again if I ever have to travel back to this area.

Nice renovated hotel, close to I-94 , O’Hare airport and Six Flags Great America. The hotel has a big empty lot for parking with tractor trailers, motorhomes and other large vehicles. Despite the highway closeness, the hotel is very quiet. Nice and clean rooms, good sized bathroom with tub. The room has a small fridge and a microwave oven.
