Fabhotel Royal International

This hotel is located in a secluded road and its dark at night. Hotel room was not so clean. breakfast is served in the room and the room is very small with no windows. The staff however are very helpful

This hotel occupies the 2nd floor (G,1,2) of a low rise ( 6 floors?) multipurpose building and the vibe on arrival to the building (on the ground floor) is apocalyptic. The dark giant foyer feels abandoned but for the security guard's table and a couple of chairs and a couch that look like they were dragged in from a skip. Though the building's night guards were helpful, they aren't hotel staff, so arrival wise, you are on your own. The street itself runs parallel to the main road and is not very lively and not inviting to walk at night. There always seemed to be tuk tuks available. I took the stairs, as I don't trust lifts at the best of times, and these did not inspire confidence. I was sorry that I didn't have gloves because my hands were coated in rust and dirt from the railings. Not welcoming. None of this is the fault of the tenants, in this case the hotel which was itself clean enough, with a small but cheerful reception area and attentive staff. The hallway where the rooms are is very narrow, to the point that if your neighbour directly opposite you comes out at the same time, only one of you has room to lock the door. Certainly not up to code in terms of fire escapes. All I saw was that one filthy staircase and there were no illuminated emergency exit signs or those emergency exit maps on the inside of the rooms' doors. This us not unusual, simply a fact. The bathroom in my room was elevated and the rise was much higher than a regular step, 26 cm/ 10.5 inches, really hard to haul yourself up. With the bathroom door opening into the small bathroom, you can access the sink and the shower. In order to access the toilet, you must step into the shower stall to close the bathroom door first. The tiny hot water tank(geyser) needs to be turned on for about 10 minutes to warm up It supplies enough water to fill a bucket, but not enough for a regular shower, so fill the bucket. The AC was good, the room door locked well with that nice extra top security bolt that is always appreciated, there was good wifi and breakfast orders are taken the night before and delivered at your requested time. I was very happy with the food which was fresh and hot. Mumbai is a very expensive city, so this hotel was very good for the price. It's just important to know what to expect.

We were 2 families who were suppose to chk in on 16th January and chk out on 18th January. But when we reached the hotel at 9:00 pm we were told that there is no reservation reflecting at their side while I kept getting confirmed messages till the last moment . Then after few montes they told that my reservation has been shifted to some new hotel . On asking that how did they intimate that ,they said they tried and could not get the number and mailed at guest.com On much request a cab was arranged till the new hotel. The stay is also below average although the staff at the Liwa international is very polite and helpful . My rating to the fabhotels is negative and suggest everyone not to depend on your booking confirmation messages .
