A lovely hotel. Very nice food. The rooms were excellent and very clean. I would be more than happy to stay here again. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room had all the toiletries needed didnt have to use my own. Not too far from the town.

I have been swimming here for over a year. The pool facilities here are okay but when I go for a leisure swim the people who work there don’t care about the flow of the pool at all. There are people messing in the lanes, and the staff will walk by and pretend they can’t see anything going on. There are also people disturbing the fast lane as it’s not made clear enough and are ruining my overall experience while I’m swimming. There are many people I have talked to while I’ve been here and none of them are happy about it either. There people swimming in the fast lane but it’s completely over taken by one person who is taking it all up themself who barely even knows how to swim, using the whole lane and the staff don’t care at all. The signs should be more clear as it is a complete mess at the moment. Avoid until they sort their uncaring staff out:

After a second stay in the Hotel which was gifted to us because we complained about the dirt off the spa changing facilities and room we are disappointed again. Had high expectations after being told it had been given a deep clean but on the Friday around 5 pm most of the dirt in showers was still remaining and I hadn’t use the toilet on my previous visit but this time I couldn’t believe the dirt also. There was toilet paper stuck around the toilet brush, urine stains that definitely seemed like they were there for awhile. On the Saturday morning we came down for a swim again and absolutely nothing had changed from the previous day. I had previously been told that these facilities were being updated soon but that is no excuse why they are not cleaned on a daily basis also in the bar we did have lovely food but they only sell rosé wine by the full bottle one being €30+ and the other being €50+. They don’t serve it by the glass or small bottle as I only normally have one or two glasses. I wasn’t going to pay for a full bottle. Staff were all very friendly the breakfast is beautiful. Our room was nice and it was clean this time, but there was what sounded like a boiler continuously going through our stay which was very annoying, luckily I had brought earplugs but my husband hadn’t. Not the cheapest hotel to stay and I travelled 90 minutes to get there only to be disappointed again !!!!

The food in the hotel bar is awful, we had the duck which was like any duck leg you can buy in tescos or lidl, a bit of mash potato which was tasteless and bland and hard vegetables, the burger was OK but the chips were unedible, tasted of stale oil, would never eat here again

To all at the Mullingar Park Hotel, I would like to extend a huge thank you to all your staff working over the course of the weekend of our National Conference such a wonderful experience and indeed success for everyone. (Held March 2025) From the ladies who manned the busy reception and checkin process, to the patience of the bar staff late into the evening on Friday and Saturday we were made feel so welcome at every turn. The professionalism of the staff serving the many food options, the attention to detail of the various Managers and response to last minute requests for changes, everything was done with such ease it was seamless. Our guests and delegates definitely came away from your hotel feeling refreshed and invigorated from the weekend. It was an absolute pleasure to have worked with you all on this for the past few months. Thank you so much for everything you did. Edel Williams, IGC Head office.

Booked this hotel off the cuff without any recommendations so hoped for the best. Check in was great and the lovely friendly receptionist was a welcome start. The reception and interior of the hotel looked fantastic with a table full of fresh flowers on your way in. The room was nice except for the bathroom. Bathroom needs a thorough makeover. The bath was ancient, the door was swelled and warped from years of steam and no tlc. Shower was in the bath with a curtain, not great if you’re elderly as you’ve to climb in and out when it’s slippy. Dinner in the bar the first night was nice, second night was nicer in the restaurant. Food was lovely and the wine was quite good. The bar is really tastefully decorated and looked great. Alcohol is expensive enough but the pint was nice. The big problem we found with the bar was the tall foreign barman. He had a face on him like the week is long. No smile or hello and I felt as if he felt inconvenienced that we’d asked him for drinks. As for paying, he just shoved the gadget for your card at you took the price and just walked away, dreadful attitude. Anyway, thank God there were lounge staff that were more friendly and courteous. There was a band on Saturday night and they were very good. Two men on guitars that played all the songs I usually listen to. Really enjoyed them. The leisure centre was lovely and the staff were great and very friendly and helpful. Had a lovely lane swim and sauna. Breakfast in the mornings were excellent, absolutely anything that you desire was there. All told apart from the barman we’d a lovely weekend and would visit again in the future.

I booked the B&B and evening meal rate and it was worth it for the meal alone, the food was fantastic. The staff were all lovely. Rooms spacious and comfortable. Lovely selection for breakfast. Good sized pool and hydrotherapy suite. Great value for money.

I stayed here recently for a gig. Despite the hotel being fully booked and extremely busy, the service from staff on Reception, bar and at breakfast was unfailingly kind and helpful (also breakfast is fantastic - don't miss it!). Good service is expected when staying in a hotel but what really blew me away was the response I got when I contacted them after check out with an issue. I had mistakenly left my phone/watch charger plugged into the wall of my room. I contacted the hotel when I got back home to ask if it had been found. I got a fast email response to say that it had been placed in lost property and they offered to send it to me. So - just 3 days after checking out, I have received it back in the post and am absolutely delighted. Absolutely outstanding - well done Mullingar Park Hotel!
