We arrived on the hottest day of our holiday, 36 degrees, and were welcomed to the hotel on our arrival and asked to pay for our stay. We were directed to our room and were delighted to find it was air conditioned. Our room, a superior with a river view, was spacious but the furniture was a little dated and ready for replacement. The bathroom had a corner bath and a spacious shower. There is a small well kept indoor pool and a patio area with loungers as well as a quiet room to relax in. We had paid 44 euros each for the half board evening meal which consisted of 3 courses. The starter was fairly basic with a decent main course and dessert but was not good value for the price. On the Thursday night there were only 8 people in the restaurant but the service was very slow between courses. The breakfast was entirely different and was the best we had on our holiday. It included fresh fruit, smoked salmon, a variety of meats and cheeses and a choice of eggs. Cold water was provided in the reception area each day. If we are staying on the Mosel again we would consider this hotel for all its good facilities but not book the half board meal.
