The hotel is located on a gorgeous property. The rooms are beautiful and spacious and their service was wonderful. A very nice breakfast was included. The hotel is located on a quiet part of the town, which was great for us. It is located about 6.5km from Bernkastel-Kues. We had a rental car, which we parked at the hotel and it was very easy to get around the town either driving or via taxi. After spending a wonderful week here, I would definitely stay here again.

The parking is across the road from the hotel. On arrival there was a sign in reception saying we are taking a break so wait until we return. The receptionist appeared in a couple of minutes and was very helpful, and subsequently we saw there was usually someone at reception so perhaps we were unlucky but it did not give the best first impression for a 4 star place. The hotel is nicely decorated. The room was average size, quiet, clean and comfortable but no fridge or tea/coffee making equipment, overall too expensive for what it was. The garden was pleasant though quite a bit of road noise. Dinner in the Culinarium restaurant was a bad experience. The food and wine was good but the delay and poor service were inexcusable. There did not seem to a manager and the staff did one thing at a time, e.g. they would bring a couple of dishes to a table then walk back to the counter without looking to see if other tables were ready to order, needed clearing or needed a drink, etc.. Sometimes all 3 staff would disappear, presumably to the kitchen, for several minutes. It took ages to get an aperitif, place our order, and even longer to receive the food. The wine list was extensive and included many local wines but the staff did not help the customers (no sommelier?). At one point a server taking dishes away dropped a knife on the floor, several staff walked passed it including the server who dropped it but only 5 minutes later was it noticed and picked up. The restaurant was about 60% full and most customers were getting upset with the service and delays. Finally one of the staff explained there was a problem with the system passing orders to the kitchen hence the delay in preparing dishes so we would need to be patient but would be offered a free drink. Surely a manager or the chef would have realised there was a problem and reacted sooner. Breakfast was buffet style but with a station to cook eggs to order. A good selection of food on the buffet, a nice setting in a glassed atrium, and there was a lady in charge who was friendly and efficient.

We were very satisfied with this visit again. Well-trained and very friendly staff, lovely decor and good food. Fine wines too, of course. The wellness area is much too small for the number of rooms. Who wants to pre-book sauna time on a short stay? Overall, though, it is still a recommendation.

Reception at reception was friendly, but not attentive at all. The room (Park Suite) did not appear to have air conditioning: upon arrival, curtains were closed against the heat, stuffy and not ventilated. We had to collect our luggage ourselves after being shown the room. Hotel deserted during the day. Dinner on the terrace was very good and lovely to sit on. The bed turned out to be really bad: completely saggy! Price package with dinner, excl. drinks, €445. Then we expect much more. Overdue building maintenance. Room furnishings old-fashioned. Faded glory?

On our trip along the Moselle we stayed at the Weinromantikhotel Richtershof. As far as the wine was concerned, we unfortunately had little opportunity to enjoy it in the restaurant. When I wanted to reserve a table in the afternoon on the day of arrival, the restaurant was already fully booked. Well, you just have to accept that, even if as guests of a suite we expected a little more flexibility. So we wanted to reserve a table for the following evening straight away and received the answer that they had an event and could only serve a 4-course menu. A la carte was not available. The menu could not be viewed, so we did not want to buy a pig in a poke and booked another restaurant in the area. It is actually annoying that hotel guests are fobbed off like this. The room meets the expectations of a 4-star hotel. No more, but also no less. There is no minibar. The WiFi was sluggish, at least in our room 108. When we wanted to order a cappuccino at breakfast, the answer was: "Would you like filter coffee or regular coffee?". When we expressed our wish again, the answer was: "I have to ask." Irritating that he didn't know cappuccinos. He asked. There is obviously a coffee machine that you can operate yourself. Well, not very elegant, but we were able to get a reasonably good cappuccino at the touch of a button. The breakfast buffet otherwise: it has everything you need. The service is friendly. If you want, you can sit outside.

We spent 3 nights in this beautifully located hotel. Away from the "tourist rip-off" hotels in the famous wine towns. The two restaurants in the hotel were also very nice. The service was very courteous. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet including sparkling wine left nothing to be desired. We would come again.

Anyone who often travels along the Moselle knows how difficult it can be to find something more sophisticated in terms of cuisine. This is especially true for lunchtime and afternoons, as most of the higher-quality restaurants are only open in the evenings. This time we came across the Richtershof, where we stopped in for the afternoon. We spent a few lovely hours there on the wonderfully quiet terrace of the coach house. We liked it so much that we stopped in again for lunch the next day. The food and the service were excellent. Despite the high temperatures, you could relax under the old trees. After we found out at reception how welcome dog owners are here and we were able to explore the hotel a little, we will definitely include this hotel in our overnight plans for our next stay on the Moselle.

Mühlheim is a beautiful place on the Moselle, opposite Lieser. We come to this beautiful hotel every year. Friendly staff will be available to guests in all areas of the hotel. Almost all of the rooms have been beautifully renovated. Unfortunately, we were disappointed in the restaurant called Culinarium. Before Corona, you had the impression that a star chef was pampering the guests here. The food was a real treat that I will remember for a long time! Unfortunately, that time is over in this hotel. The menu has no other meat dishes to offer apart from guinea fowl and Wiener schnitzel. The fish dish we had was not properly fried, the accompanying risotto had so much parsley that the taste of the fish was completely covered up and the Wiener schnitzel with the potato salad was dry and rather tough. The wine selection is very extensive. I would love to come back next year and hope that the past with good quality and selection of dishes has found a place in the kitchen of the beautiful Culinarium restaurant.
