Our five night stay at Thiesmann’s Hotel should have been an enjoyable break. The room was spacious and reasonably well appointed but any attempt at sleep ended in disaster due to the poor quality of the beds. The mattresses were thin, provided almost no comfort or springing on top of a divan base which was of a simple particle board box, the most basic and cheap type. Both of suffered from bruised and sore hips which sleeping on our sides or a sore back due to contact with the box divan. After three sleepless nights we found alternative accommodation and moved elsewhere. At no time could we find any member of the management team in order to raise our concerns, the only members of staff appeared to be the breakfast room staff. The establishment appeared to run by itself. Neither was the cost of accommodation less than other similar establishments in the locality. We moved to the Hilton which was paradise by comparison. We cannot recommend Thiesmann’s under any circumstances, their responds via the booking agency was to dismiss our complaints without comment.

Wie nach Hause kommen !
Komme schon seit 20 Jahren nach Mülheim ins Thiesmann. Besonders die freundlichen Mitarbeiter bzw. die Chefin Frau Thiesmann sind absolute spitze. Bei Thiesmann zu übernachten ist fast wie nach Hause zu kommen. Ebenfalls herausragend das Restaurant mit den kleinen Tapas.

Hotel in de buurt van Oberhausen. Ontvangst was goed. Prima voor een overnachting. Ruime kamer en goede douche. Op de kamer een tv, geen waterkokertje of zo. Voldoende stopcontacten! In de badkamer geen zeep bij de wastafel wel in de douche. Het ontbijt was prima maar helaas was veel op en werd pas laat aangevuld. We Waren er vanuit gegaan dat het restaurant open was in de avond maar dat is juist in het weekend dicht. Dat was jammer. Nu zijn we uitgeweken naar een “pizzeria” in de buurt. Soort afhaal zaak waar ook wat tafeltjes stonden. Niet wat we voor ogen hadden. Op de site bleek het wel aangegeven te staan dus zelf niet goed naar gekeken (ook niet via hun site geboekt)
