Das Hotel liegt sehr ruhig am Rand eines Wohngebiets. Mit dem Auto ist man schnell in einem Einkaufszentrum, in knapp 30min im Centro Oberhausen. Direkt an der Ruhr, welche fast unmittelbar am Hotel vorbeifließt, kann man sich noch die Beine vertreten. Ich habe aufgrund von Terminen in Krefeld bewusst ein Hotel außerhalb gebucht und habe es nicht bereut. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist recht überschaubar aber ausreichend. Parkmöglichkeiten leider sehr begrenzt, wenn man nicht rechtzeitig auch einen Parkplatz reserviert.

Nun ist MH nicht gerade reich an tollen Hotels. Normalerweise wären wir im Kocks abgestiegen, da dort aber kein Hund zugelassen ist, haben wir nach Alternativen gesucht. Das Luisental ist ein kleines Hotel in einem Eckhaus nahe der Ruhr. Eine sehr schöne Lage. Das Zimmer war erstaunlich groß und besaß sogar eine Mikrowelle und Essgeschirr. Das Bad ist ok, allerdings fehlen Pflegeprodukte (Duschgel in einem eingeschweißten Tütchen). Das Frühstück ist ebenfalls in Ordnung, wenn es auch keine große Auswahl bietet (Eier ja, Croissants etc. nein). Man erkennt sehr schnell, dass an jeder Ecke gespart und sehr genau hingesehen wird. Eine Spurt mehr Großzügigkeit würden dem Ganzen guttun. Rezeption und Service sind sehr freundlich und bemüht. Wlan ist vorhanden und nötig, da sonst kein mobiler Internetempfang vorhanden ist. Für den Hund fallen keine Zuschläge an. Danke.
