Find Mountain View Hotels in Rio De Janeiro

My wife and I stayed in the hotel for 10 days for our honeymoon after receiving a recommendation from a friend. When we first arrived we were disappointed because the room had not been cleaned adequately (dirty carpet, stains and dead bugs in the bathroom) and despite informing the hotel we were coming for our honeymoon we didn’t receive any special welcome, for example a note or message from the hotel or chocolate gift as we saw others receive on Instagram. We complained to the reception about the cleanliness and the next morning the room was cleaned to our expectations, we were happy with how the complaint was handled. The hotel room we were given was an ocean view on the 10th floor. The view was amazing and we loved falling asleep and waking up to the sound of the ocean. However we feel that for the price and star rating of the hotel, the rooms need to be refurbished, the room feels dated and the bathroom finishings are not befitting of the hotel we expected from the pictures; messy paintwork and grouting, broken wooden furniture, poor quality shower and at one point there was no hot water so our first night was cold showers. We have stayed in lower and similarly priced and rated hotels and the quality of the room and bathrooms were better than this hotel. We used the tennis courts and gym during our stay which was a nice option. We both had the tropical Spa experience which was a wonderful and relaxing experience and the Spa staff were great. We chose the all inclusive option at the hotel and we were not disappointed with the selections available and the high quality of food on offer from the restaurants. The service from the staff at the restaurants was wonderful. The location of the hotel is excellent, after exploring the area we determined it has the best location of all the hotels in Ipanema / Leblon / Copacabana, because of the direct beach access to a “private” beach. Halfway through the stay we received a note in our room to say there was a problem with the pre payment and amount of consumption. We were very surprised because we had the all inclusive option and had not taken anything not included. We called the reception to inquire about the problem and the person was not able to explain what was the problem. (My wife is Brazilian so language was not the problem). We had to go down to the reception to speak with someone else, where we were told that the pre payment taken by the hotel was not enough to cover the cost of our stay (10 days) and so an additional payment was needed. The hotel knew we were staying for 10 days and should have known the total cost of our stay (excluding extras not included Ina lol inclusive), and taken the payment up front, rather than send us an ambiguously and informally written letter, halfway through the stay which the staff could not explain on the Phone. I spent four nights at this hotel, in a very nice area of Rio. Great facilities: magnificent rooms (standard), excellent bed and linen, very nice swimming pool (heated) with gorgeous views, pleasant common area, etc. The management, however, is not so good. Nothing serious or terrible, but not what you would expect from a Hilton hotel. E.g.: I was supposed to receive a free big bottle of water in my room, as part of the arrangement for my group; I did not received it and I was told that I should pay for it if I wanted it; in addition, I was asked, when checking our, to pay for 2 bottles! (when I ordered just one). I complained and no charge was made finally but it gave me a poor impression about the level of care for the details one would expect in a hotel of this category. Moreover, in a place what you cannot drink water from the tap safely, the management should provide with courtesy drinking water for every guest, as is usual in most places. About the food: very good in the restaurant, reasonably priced (but obviously not cheap). However, the breakfast was disappointing: little variety and quality in the fruit (in a place such as Brazil!!!), slow service for the eggs or tapioca you ordered, and little variety of bread and pastry, as well as other deficiencies (quality of cheese, ham or salami, etc.). A special positive mention for the cleaning personnel: very efficient and nice, always respected the requests I made about timing. Bravo.

The satisfactory business hotel is mainly suitable for those who do not want to step on the thunder for the first time (after all, everyone's points are different). Hotels in Brazil are generally older. This style of decoration in 2020 but is almost domestic decoration in China ... but in Brazil, don't think about a smart hotel suitable for young people in China. There is a major problem that the restaurant of breakfast seems to have design defects (or that it is too closed to go out), and it is particularly noisy. Copacabana is actually slightly noisy (8th and below), which can live in the city.

There are no words to describe this experience. Wonderful hotel, staff note 1000, they treat us wonderfully, because it is low season they upgraded our room. On Sunday we rented a bike for 15 reais an hour and we had a beautiful ride. Their beach service gives us an extra comfort. Breakfast note 1000. Location is not mentioned. I want to go back to Rj not only for the city, but also for the Hotel. I never felt so good in my life. And the pool? Perfect. If you have the opportunity, don't think twice, just go!

Carol at Ramada Hotel Recreio has helped me a lot in booking rooms, answering my questions and being resourceful. She is really professional and caring, and has exceptional customer service skills. She always has a smile on her face and really goes out of her way whenever I requested her help. I think she is the biggest asset Ramada Hotels have here and should be recognized as such.

If you want to experience a Rio with plush amenities and excellent service, this is the place for you ! There are so many thoughtful touches through the rooms and the property at large. I'm currently enjoying a full breakfast at the restaurant overlooking the terrace and I had to take a moment to highlight the cars and attention of Henrique & Fran . They welcomed me warmly, assisted me with translations and overall quite attentive, for me these things really matter. Highly recommend this charming coffees farm turned into a lush abode.

I stayed 5 nights in one of the deluxe rooms on the 16th floor with a view over to Christ the redeemer. I couldn’t have asked for a better view - thanks to the guy who checked me in for choosing that room knowing it was my first visit to Rio. My room was clean but small, comfortable bed and pillows. Espresso machine in the room but no capsules were provided despite asking for them. Shower was good, rainforest head, water was powerful and hot if needed. Breakfast was an ok selection, pretty much the same everyday, cold cuts, breads, cakes, scrambled eggs, hot selection and fruits, coffee just about passable. I didn’t use the pool, it didn’t look particularly clean. Location was excellent, just under 5 mins walk to Copacabana beach. Most staff were friendly, some not so. I would stay here again if the price was right.

Excellent option in the Tijuca bar .. price a little higher and even well above but due carnaval period.. great breakfast but at 10:30 a.m. the restaurant staff are already passing a “furacan” withdrawing everything and no water leaves.. The sauna wasn't working.. it looks like q had broken and did not fix on the same day .. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Hotel was great!! Even though I speak Portuguese, the staff made sure to ask if I'd prefer them speaking in English because my husband does not speak Portuguese. The location of the hotel is a must! Right in front of the beach (literally 5min walk). They provide the guests with chairs, umbrellas, and towels. Also a 5-10min walk from a lot of restaurants around Ipanema. The rooftop is cute and the caipirinha at the bar is AMAZING! The view from the roof is another amazing thing!! We'd stay there again!

Good location, in front of Princesa Isabel Avenue, 5 minutes walk to Copacobana Beach, 5 minutes to the reverse tunnel to Rio Sul Mall, then go to Fogo de Chao (I did not patronize), run to Sugarloaf Mountain, major The beach is fine. My room is quite open on the 10th floor, bright and clean, and comfortable. Breakfast is plentiful. Walk 5 minutes to the subway.
