Ramada Limited Mount Sterling

Mount Sterling|2.66km from city centre
Very warn, needs maintenance, poorly trained staff, unsavory guests, all vending machines out of order. Arrived at night after having called ahead to advise them I would be arriving late due to bad weather, upon arrival I was met by two young men at the counter more interested in talking amongst themselves then checking me in. One clerk didn't seem to know how to operate the computer % had to ask the other how to look up reservations. They told me I didn't have a reservation, then said they just couldn't find it, etc. despite my earlier phone call confirming room & late arrival. When I unpacked in the room they assigned me I discovered a THICK layer of dirt & drywall dust costing everything which was now on my luggage & clothes. Missing chairs, table broken, bedside lamp missing bulb, towels in bathroom had been used. Went to desk to demand different room, new desk clerk (now only person in building) said no more rooms available. When I demanded refund he had to phone a ”manager” after which they assigned me the ”whirlpool” room. Room smelled of smoke, a/c rattled when operating, bath fixtures loose, bedspread stained, carpet stained, chairs stained, veneer on cabinet peeling, lamps had dim bulbs one of which was burnt out, towels warn & frayed, food & debris underneath edge of bed & headboard, four items plugged in to two outlets under/next to cabinet. Only saving grace was they agreed to not charge me the ”premium” price for the ”whirlpool room.” Barely worth staying at for any price & certainly not fit what they were charging.
