The lack of professionalism room conditions, ie. odor, broken curtain, tattered chair/peeling and less than efficient air conditioning.

Worst stay of my life Right when we walked in to our room, it smelt like pet dander and musk. I tried cancelling our reservation so we could stay elsewhere as the stench was that bad however, we would not have gotten a refund so we toughed it out. I put perfume on my upper lip the first night just so I could get to sleep. I understand that this motel is pet friendly, but if you’re going to be pet friendly, you should ensure that your cleaning staff are able to remove pet dander/smells from rooms. Our keys also stopped working after 2 days and I had to go to the front desk to get a replacement key. No apology for the inconvenience from the front desk staff was given. Honestly none of my interactions with the front desk staff were customer service oriented. When I checked in, there was some guy talking to the front desk lady while she checked me in. He didn’t need help with anything, they were just having a conversation together. When I checked out, the front desk guy was talking to someone on the phone as he checked me out. None of the staff seemed friendly or customer service oriented. This is the first and last time that I will ever stay at a red roof in. We had our AC set to 60 during the entirety of our visit and our room never got below 70. Our “guide” and “Netflix” buttons on our remote did not work. This motel does not do turn down service. Trust me when I say to pay a little extra to stay somewhere nicer!

Dirty floor, rusty bath tub, very noisy AC -hard to sleep. Lack of counter space, small shelf in bathroom that was about to fall down.

When you’re right next to a NJ Turnpike, your standards should be low. The shower handle came off in my hand when I went to turn it on. Very bizarre not to have a phone in the room to contact the front desk about it.
