Just what we expected from a Residence Inn by Marriott - which is why we chose this hotel when visiting relatives in Mt. Juliet. The in-room kitchen and dining equipment were adequate - especially since we largely ate out at one of the many local restaurants. Well pleased.

Apparently when we checked in the room, it hadn’t been cleaned properly as there was a sticky substance on the desk and the floor in the kitchen. We did not notice until we had fully unpacked that there were ants in the kitchen on the counter. We used wipes to clean the counter and then had to leave for a conference. When we returned there were more ants on the counter and also on the desk and chairs.
We let the front desk know when we returned but they said the cleaning staff was gone and offered to move us to another room. We were traveling with family with a 4 month old in the adjacent room so we needed to be close to them and we had already unpacked everything. The cleaning staff did not show until Sunday morning at 11:40AM. We were only staying until Monday. Not acceptable, but at check out the staff was nice and offered points for the inconveniences. However, the hotel breakfast was really nice the chairs and tables again could have been cleaned better as well.

1. Room cleaning service was not provided throughout the stay inspite of requesting it at the time of checking in.
2. The layout of the room was changed by a previous guest apparently and it was very uncomfortable to navigate with TV cabinet moved up close to the bed.
3. Shower water was always lukewarm and never hot.

The property is one of our favorites and have stayed there several times. The room (suite) they put us in at this time is disappointing! Far from elevator contrary to my request due to knee problems (lied to at check in by young man who checked us in that the room he assigned was close to the elevator!) we had to go 2 hallways to the last room on the floor!!! Bathroom has permanent black area and dots (maybe mold?). Door knob is extremely difficult to open. Opened drywall in the hallway between our room and the one before us. Looks like dungeon at night!

The room and breakfast were perfect for what I needed for the week we stayed there. My only issue and its a small one, is that the indoor pool is not heated. We couldn't relax in a warm pool at the end of a long day. Other than that, it was perfect.

Unfortunately we had ants in the bed (a lot of ants) and, while the front desk person was as kind and helpful as she could possibly be, the Manager took about 10 hours to respond to offer some Marriott points. Certainly a missed opportunity at hospitality and genuine concern for a guest experience. The hotel is nice and the staff tried to help with a fully sold out hotel- there was not much they could offer.

Your staff at check in were very polite and helpful. Could not have been better. The fire alarm and evacuaiton seemed a bit excessive for someone having caused smoke 3 floors below us but we respect the need to be safe than sorry. I was mostly surprised to hear the fire department was there long before the alarm and evacuation order. Seems a bit odd they would delay in making the decision. We were awaken at 11:00pm and looked out the window to see the parking lot full of fire depart. resoponse equipment and manpower.
