Disappointing stay . We stayed here on the 15th September . Upon check in we were shown to our ground floor room (Lark) It quickly became apparent the an empty room next to us was being used as a temporary storage area for kitchen equipment . What should have been a relaxing Sunday afternoon turned in to a constant stream of staff walking past our windows carrying all manner of pots and pans and equipment to put in the room next door. The noise associated with this was really unacceptable and prevented us from opening the shutters or windows because of the noise. This disruption continued for several hours. We ordered a charcuterie board to have in the room but it took 45 minutes to arrive ( after we reminded staff) Dinner didn’t quite hit the mark, my roast beef was extremely pink despite asking for it to be well done, the staff were apologetic and replaced my meal but by the time it came my partner had already finished his. In the morning the noise began again, it’s really not ideal to have what can only be described as furniture being dragged across the floor in another storage area directly above our room at 7.30am Breakfast was cooked to order but it was stone cold and again had to sent back. To top it all off we were overcharged at check out. Unfortunately the Packhorse inn don’t appear to check their emails as I am still awaiting a reply to my concerns raised .
