The special experience, the environmental facilities are ok, and I am especially satisfied with the meals.
Disadvantage 1- The front desk can't figure out what I paid before leaving
2- Additional environmental protection fee like 800rants
3- Facilities and hotels are still incomparable

Gondwana was just amazing. Had a great ‚Gamedrive-Group’, a very very good Ranger (Abri) and great animal sightings. We stayed at a house outside the main lodge and we were able to eat dinner at the lodge or at our house (free delivery service).

Wow wow wow, this place was amazing. We had the most amazing Villa KV10 with all the amenities you could want, fabulous bathrooms, bathrobes comfortable beds. Plunge pool on the terrace was a luxurious extra. Food was plentiful, tasty and huge portions. Marlon our guide was amazing helping us find an amazing array of wildlife over the four drives we spent with him. Will be shouting from the rooftops about this place when we get back home.

A mixed experience for us during our 3 nights/2 day stay at Gondwana. Safari 5/5 we saw everything and our ranger Greg was fantastic. Very knowledgeable and keen for us to get the best experience. Drinks on the evening safari was a very special event and our group was really lovely and good fun. Lodge 3/5 was not a 5 star luxury lodge, the room lacked amenities eg conditioner, vanity kit, shower cap, room service, minibar, laundry. Room was not made up one day at all. We were in the room when they came, asked the to come back in 30 mins - never returned. Service and food 2/5. Food was really quite awful. Breakfast was okay but buffet was so basic. Evening meal, some of the dishes were quite unpleasant stuffed Chicken was inedible, first night we sat for 25 minutes and had to go and find someone to take our order. Spa was great and we had a lovely Swedish massage. Have no idea who the Manger was which you normally get introduced to at such establishments. The water situation is ridiculous. Water is scare as we know however it also a necessity. You pay for water with breakfast, get tiny bottles once a day comp in the room and water is more expensive than Coke. I’m not sure given the price point with other offerings we would recommend.

We had an amazing stay at Gondwana, our luxury lodges were very comfortable and clean. Delicious food was served between the safaris. The area is huge and there is plenty to see. Our safari guide Stan was amazing! He had a super relation to our group and went to look after the animals we wished for. It seemed like he had the right instinct to find the lions when his collegues looked otherwhere. We hope everyone gets a guide like the funny, nice and communicative Stan! He made our stay to an experience!

We are seasoned safari visitors and our expectation levels are realistic for a relatively small private game reserve. Having said that we have never experienced so many relaxed, safe rhino, buffalo, zebra, deer and antelope - only a small herd of giraffe, 4 wild cats, 3 lions and 1 cheetah. Our ranger, Tim, was extremely knowledgable, entertaining and a good host for our morning coffee and evening sundowners. We stayed in an African Rondavel which had a lovely vibe and highly recommended. The meals and service were excellent and far superior to either of the lodges we have stayed at in Sabi Sands. The departure process, whilst efficient, was not warm or in any way in keeping with the rest of the 2 night stay
