It was great! Even though I only understood a little English and it was raining, I still enjoyed myself. The animals were sleeping and the zoo was empty early in the morning, which felt special. But be careful, there are no hair dryers!
I was very satisfied with the dingoes, platypuses, wombats and Tasmanian devils in the zoo.

It was a perfect experience. The tour guide staff were very friendly and one of them could speak Chinese. The guided tour starts at 5:30 pm and ends at 10:00 pm, and starts at 7:00 pm and ends at 9:30 pm the next morning. The itinerary was tight, and it was during a time when it was not open to the public, so it felt like the zoo was open to private individuals. Although the accommodation environment is a tent, it is simple but not shabby, and it is convenient to wash and shower.

Fantastic in every way. Staying overnight in the middle of it all makes it so special. Lions actually did roar during the night! And the barking owls barked! We had some wonderful encounters up close with many animals and learnt a lot about what Taronga does. It is inspiring.

Fantastic stay. Roar and Snore campgrounds were clean and comfortable. Definitely glamping. Bathrooms were clean. Food was excellent. Good variety of drinks wine/beer/champagne/soft drinks etc location and view was 10/10. Guides were friendly and welcoming. They made us all feel very comfortable. The tours and behind the scenes experiences were great. Would definitely recommend.

Despite some overnight rain, our Roar and Snore experience at Taronga Zoo was absolutely unforgettable. Hand-feeding the giraffes was an unexpected and incredible highlight — such a surreal and special moment! The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about the animals. The evening and early morning tours were both informative and fun, and getting that behind-the-scenes look at the zoo after hours made the whole experience feel truly exclusive. The safari-style tents were cozy with unbeatable views of Sydney Harbour, and the amenities were modern and spotlessly clean — a big plus. Great food, warm hospitality, and a one-of-a-kind atmosphere made it all the more memorable. I genuinely cannot recommend it more highly. Rain or shine, it’s a magical experience you won’t forget.

Absolutely the best experience ever. Staff knowledge was exceptional. Facilities were awesome. My 2 boys 15+9 have memories that will last a lifetime. Would recommend this experience to everyone. Waking up to the lion roar was unreal. Up close and personal encounters with the animals of all shapes and sizes has to be experienced first hand.
