Good room with two large beds. Staff very friendly and helpfull. A bit noisy at the night because of the main road outside. Good breakfast and good restaurant. Ive been here a few times before, and always stay at this hotel/hostel if im in Moshi!

A very cozy and friendly environment with comfy beds, clean rooms and helpful staff. The bathrooms are maybe not the most modern but do the job. We really enjoyed drinking sodas in the rooftop lounge! Great stay in a great location.

I tried a few hostels in Moshi and they were all pretty unorganised. However Hikers Rest was completely organised, extremely friendly staff and the prices were excellent. The restaurant on the rooftop has an amazing view of Kilamanjaro and has great options too! I also left an item of clothing behind and Erasto took the time and fronted the cost to send it ahead to Dar Es Salaam for me. Excellent service all round. Thank you!

I stayed in this hotel in the budget room on my own. I found it nice and central, budget place. But then on the check-out day, I found out that someone from the hotel staff stole 300$ and 50,000 shillings from my bag during the time I stayed on the Rooftop. I found out about the robbery after I had arrived to Arusha, and I never suspected something was off, because I had locked my room door and when I returned I found it locked. Also, the staff theif didn't take all the money. He/she only took some so I don't find out until I set and count them. This is the first time I experience such a thing. I reported to the hotel manager, he said he filed an incident to the police station and never updated me with anything. Now that I got stolen, I wanna warn especially solo traveller's NEVER to stay in this hotel. They will rob U. This is unlikely to happen in the dorm, or if u r staying in a room with other people. Please take care!

A cheap clean friendly place in the center of Moshi near the bus station. Take a room with your own bath. Breakfast is included in the room rate. I will go there again for sure when I be again in Moshi. Room 2 is my choice. Location is Guinea Street at HARIA Building

The Wi-Fi environment is the worst. There is one old and small Wi-Fi at the front desk on the 2nd floor, and one old and small Wi-Fi device with one broken antenna at the rooftop bar on the 3rd floor. Even when it connects, it is only 1.2Mbps to 2.0Mbps, and it takes 5 minutes to post a 30-second video. The Wi-Fi also cuts out frequently. The Wi-Fi speeds at nearby luxury hotels, restaurants and cafes popular with tourists are around 30Mbps to 40Mbps. The management and staff use SIM cards instead of Wi-Fi, so they do not understand the stress that guests experience from Wi-Fi communication. The management and staff insist that the cause is the city's overall lack of communication lines and power, but that is just an excuse for a lack of facility improvements. It is fine for guests who do not care about Wi-Fi and want a cheap and long stay.
