We had the pleasure of staying at Kilimanjaro Wonders Hotel before and after our hike up Mount Kilimanjaro, and it truly felt like a home away from home. The warm welcome from the staff made us feel instantly relaxed, setting the perfect tone for our adventure ahead. The hotel’s comfortable rooms were a sanctuary after our challenging days on the mountain, and we loved unwinding with breathtaking views of Kilimanjaro. The food was delicious and provided the hearty fuel we needed, especially after our hike. What stood out the most was the kindness of the staff. They went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable, offering helpful tips and sharing stories that enriched our experience. Whether it was the cozy ambiance, the attentive service, or the beautiful surroundings, Kilimanjaro Wonders Hotel made our journey unforgettable. We can’t recommend it highly enough!

As part of Soraka’s Tour package, I was required to stayed at Kilimanjaro Wonders Hotel. Unfortunately, this hotel had dirty sheets, and a headboard with old and peeling material that constantly flaked onto the bed. Also, upon my arrival there was no hot running water. After more than 18 hours of travel, it was a major inconvenience to not be able to shower after a long day of travel. I tried to reach the owners of Soraka Tours, as I was in need of immediate assistance, but I did not receive an answer until the next morning. This was surprising, as one of the owners actually live in Moshi. Additionally, the hotel did not have internet service, so it was very difficult to communicate with love ones to let them know that I arrived safely. Later, I was told by Soraka Tours that this was one of the better hotels in Tanzania. I have stayed at several Tanzania hotels in the past, and know that this is not true, and that there are plenty of great hotels in Moshi that have hot running water, and do not require their customers to sleep on dirty sheets. Please see the attached pictures. I immediately asked to be moved to a new room, but was not allowed to do so until the next morning, as they claimed not to have any available rooms. Unfortunately, I had a sleepless night as I had to sleep on a chair for the entire night. I learned the next day that the hotel was actually half empty as it was off-season for tourists. This is not the service that I expected from Soraka Tours. There are more experienced and established tour companies that have a proven track record, as it pertains to service and offer much better accommodations to their clients. My advice - Soraka’s commitment and promise to giving clients the best experience was not provided and my overall experience, including the accommodations, was horrible.

The Staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms we had were large and light with en-suite. Some things needed fixing but they are working on updates. The roof top bar has amazing setting to view the mountain to climb. We stayed before and after climb and the staff were excellent at cleaning our gear for onwards travel. Quick and efficient.

I can only guess that most of the reviews being written here are done by their staff or paid writers. Nothing is accurate. Read their responses to the negatives below for a clue. Definitely not a 4 star hotel. We stayed here for one night in September. The front desk staff were rude and unhelpful and had no clue of customer service. We were on the first floor which opened to the reception area below via a large staircase. Someone in reception kept play loud music all night. We found the small variety of roaches in our room all night. We requested a towel at 6:00 pm. It showed up at 9:30 pm after our tour operator called them to complain. Then when we were asleep they kept banging on the door to deliver it. Worst part was we went to the restaurant, ordered a meal at 7:00 pm. By 8:45 we were still waiting. Not a word of explanation from anyone. We left and went to bed hungry only to be awakened by a phone call at 9:15 while asleep to ask if we wanted it delivered to our room. Really? Over 2 hours!! No. We also asked for a 6:00 am wake up call. It came at 6:30. Need I say more. Avoid this place.
