A historic property, very centrally located close to all Moscow sightseeing. The interiors are a bit tired but clean and well maintained. While it may not be a four-star hotel, the amenities and comfort level are adequate and the location is superb. The breakfast is a mix of international and Russian fare, such as pancakes, sausages, macaroni, cottage cheese bake, cured salmon, millet porridge, and, inevitably, Russian salad. The staff are very friendly, helpful, and well-mannered.

The room is decorated in a retro style. It's about a 15-minute walk to Red Square, which is very convenient. However, it seems that it takes about 15 minutes to walk to the nearest subway station. I originally planned to take the subway to Sheremetyevo Airport, but I couldn't understand Russian and there were several transfers involved, so I ended up taking a Yandex taxi.
I really want to praise a very pretty young girl at the front desk. She has short curly hair and speaks very gently.
