Love the local mini-hikes, which are many, and I try start one each trip before sunup. Well situated for nature lovers, State Park visitors, kayakers, amateur golfers, &c.. Friendly cocktail hour. Quiet when it needs to be. Commodious lobby and easy check-in/out. Would prefer SLO Roasters to Green Mountain coffee pods.

I am a Seasoned Car Traveler, from West Coast to East Coast. I have traveled thru all 48 States. The Fireside Inn is definitely in my 10 Ten of Awesome Hotels/Motels. The Staff is wonderful, the rooms are Clean, and Well Appointed. There was a Microwave, Refrigerator, and a Coffee Machine. Everything was clean from sheets to table tops to Showers. We are now planning another trip in the fall to Morro Bay and when we have the dates finalized, we WILL be making our Reservations with the Fireside Inn. I HIGHLY recommend the Fireside Inn.

We booked this room for a last minute get away and it did not disappoint! The room was clean, spacious, with a nice open yet cozy feel. The bed was comfortable and the location was quiet. Conveniently located walking distance to downtown Morro Bay and a variety of eating options. Quick 5 minute drive to Morro Rock and the beach. Would highly recommend to anyone staying in Morro Bay.

From LA to SF, heading north from Highway 1, I chose to stay in Morro Bay on the first night. I am very glad that I carefully selected and booked this hotel. This may be the best hotel in the surrounding area, equivalent to the domestic four-star standard. It is very new and deserves to be opened in 2023! All the facilities are great, clean, simple and stylish. The bedding, tables, chairs, and bathrooms in the room are clean and comfortable. Every guest staying in the room can enjoy a rich American breakfast on the first floor (unlimited number of people, no voucher required), with a rich variety of choices, exquisite ingredients, and good taste! There is unlimited coffee, hot tea, hot chocolate and other drinks available for self-service in the lobby on the first floor all day, and there are ice machines on each floor. If you need boiled water, you can fill it in the self-service beverage area, or ask the hotel to provide a drying kettle to take water to the room (the hotel does not provide electric kettles or thermos bottles). This is a great accommodation experience. If you have friends who travel by car, I will definitely recommend it. This hotel is the best! Great! Great! Hygiene: very clean and sanitary Facilities: all brand new Environment: comfortable, simple and stylish Service: responsive and enthusiastic❤️

We were looking forward to an overnight stay-cation in Morro Bay and Masterpiece Hotel did not disappoint. Thought not near the water, the location was quiet and very clean. We were pleased to see extra electric outlets for charging, which is so necessary with the multiple electronic devices we carry these days. In particular, the front desk was extremely helpful with everything that we asked for. The continental breakfast also included fresh made waffles, good coffee, fresh fruit selection and yogurt. It was more than the description implied. The bed was comfortable and the towels soft. It looks like the property has been updated and made for a comfortable stay. Not luxury bet well worth the cost. Thank you to the staff and definitely recommend for the price, location and good clean hotel.

Booked this hotel temporarily, but it was an unexpected surprise on this journey. The hotel was a bit of an idea, but from the beginning of the reception, I felt that the owner was working very hard. 1. Parking is convenient and free. 2. Walk five minutes to the beach and one minute to the supermarket and fast food restaurant behind the hotel. 3. Each floor has a special reading area to provide local bird pictures to introduce local culture. There are also vending machines for drinks. I booked a room with a balcony. I could sit down and smoke and admire the sunset by the sea. 4. The front desk offers afternoon tea from 5 to 6 pm. Breakfast is on the third floor, the food is average, but on the terrace, you can overlook the waves and sails of the sea while breakfast, as well as the big rock. 5. I only booked one night, but found a coupon when I opened the door in the morning. It reads: Don't go so fast, give me a one-night fifty-six dollar discount and stay for another night, and enjoy the beauty and food here. If it hadn't been for my later itinerary, I would really like to stay another night and enjoy the tranquility of the town.

I can’t recommend booking a room at Holland Inn as our experience led us to leave & find another room in Morro Bay. When we arrived to check in we were advised that we would need to be shown the room by his wife before he checked us in. Confused, we were led out of the motel, down the road to a separate one storey building where we were shown into a small room with a sofa bed. Only a sofa bed, no other furniture or TV at all & was advised that we might be able to access the motel WiFi if it reaches. As you can imagine, was not what we booked. For $59 we didn’t expect a lot, but an actual bed with TV & WiFi in the hotel we booked at was a minimum expectation. Back at the check in desk we advised that we didn’t what to take the room & where told there were no other rooms available. We left to find another motel in the bay.
