Telunas Private Island

A fantastic getaway, we went there as a break from Singapore and a couple of hours ferry ride without airports involved and we were on a secluded island with a limited number of other guests. very private and secluded, and lovely simple experience. No Wi-Fi, amazing accommodation, very relaxing, great food, outstanding staff.

An idyllic island escape an easy boat ride from Singapore (2 x 1 hr each, international and then domestic transfer). The staff were beautiful, very welcoming and always ensuring our comfort and safety. We stayed on the Telunas Private Island in a ridge villa. This was well worth the extra price and the steep walk from reception. The path itself is a well graded concrete ramp with a midpoint rest stop up the hill and requires a reasonable level of fitness. The staff are always available to lend assistance when needed. The villa was simple but luxuriously appointed, arranged in 3 zones: an outdoor dip pool with deck chairs and ocean views; an outdoor covered lounge area with dining table and water cooler / boiler. The bedroom section had a king bed with mosquito netting and sliding doors that opened up to the treetops and filtered ocean views. Behind the bedroom there us a covered outdoor bathroom with enclosed water closet, twin showers and vanities. All areas were well ventilated with ceiling fans and the bedroom had the added benefit of an air conditioner, which is only available in the ridge villas, but not needed most of the time due to the ample ocean breeze high on the island. The available activities and water sports were included with our package and were plentiful; the day spa is situated in the most beautiful setting over the water and the massages were excellent. The food and drinks offered a great selection and additional items could be purchased if needed. The ridge villa also offers breakfast to be delivered, but lunch and dinner requires guests to descend/ascend the pathway to the main reception and dining areas. Our only regret was not being able to stay longer and we hope to return again one day.

Excellent staff who treat you like royalty and make you feel like family! Wonderful place with nicely curated meals and thoughtful touches everywhere. And the sunrises and sunsets!!! Really enjoyed our time there. Telunas Private Island hits the sweet spot between nature and comfort. Easy to travel from Singapore.

Really loved the Ridge Villa, as it was very quiet and a zen place to be at with Nature. Only thing is the walk up is tough if you are not in good shape, so usually when we are up there will seldom come down to explore the place. If we were to go again may explore the Beach front Villa.

We LOVED our stay at Telunas Private Island. The staff is amazing, they became great friends of ours. At the end of our visit, they went above and beyond to make sure we got to our next destination. It was also a great opportunity to meet other travelers from across the world. The villas and common areas were very clean. Each meal was delicious and served by the wonderful staff.(there was always a dessert served!) The decor was beautiful and simple, letting the natural beauty of the island be the real star. There were activities for everyone - crafting, kayaking, hiking, SUP, cornhole, the pool, and visiting a nearby village. We’d highly recommend you stay here!

Everything at the resort exceeded our expectations! Especially the kindness and helpfulness of the staff. Our family of 5 (boys ages 19, 17 & 12) had a blast. We did the pottery class, ropes course, fishing, jumped off the jetty and enjoyed so many delicious meals. While the private island villa was rustic, it was pristinely clean and comfortable. There was coffee, tea, hot cocoa and fresh water in the room and enough towels for the five of us. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of room for the five of us. We will definitely be back! I would not change a thing about the experience and look forward to our next visit.

Our week-long stay at Telunas was amazing. The setting and the environment are idyllic, the accommodation superb, the food wholesome and delicious, combining local and international dishes. The villas are beautifully furnished and the view from the balcony mesmerising. We enjoyed the optional daily activities too—including a tour of a village on Sugi island, a cooking demonstration (spicy sambal!), and a lesson in working with clay from an expert local potter. But it's the staff at Telunas who make the place truly magical. Special thanks to Mehanna, Ella, Abi, Ayu, Syifa, Syahrul, Mini, Heri, Bakri, Nadia, Dwi, Chi Chi, Wan, Bob, Agung, and chefs Beng Beng and Butthy. Your kindness, conversations, and laughter made our stay unforgettable. Thanks so much ... we will visit again one day!

the staff at telunas made us feel like home and took care of us so well! we also love the mission behind this resort in doing good for the local community and environment. the beautiful scenery of this island, together with the lush greenery, the nourishing meals that were cooked for us, the warm and personal touch of the staff, makes this experience an unforgettable one. shoutout to ella, syifa, syahrul, abi, nadya, mahena, the chef and bartender, for making our stay so lovely!

The staffs on Telunas are an asset to the company. We had a good time interacting and experiencing the warm hospitality at Telunas. Special shout out to 'Abby' - our guide from Batam to Telunas, Ella, Mini, the activities staff (Forgot his name - he used to be in security) and Vince (The guitar player at Bon Fire). I also mentioned to staff. It will be good to have movie nights with inflatable screen by the pool. Serve some popcorns, snacks (Banana chips) and give some options of beverages (Wine, beer etc) an opportunity to generate more revenue :) Also, maybe a tour of some turtles hatching areas etc. and some information about the foundation.
