I did a 10-day Ayurvedic treatment at Muthumuni Resort in November 2021. I was the first guest after the Covid lockdown was lifted and was therefore the only one in the complex. The treatment was very intensive. At the beginning there was a preliminary discussion with a doctor. An individual treatment plan was then drawn up. There were 3-5 treatments daily in the morning and lunch, mostly in the form of extensive massages, but also baths with herbs and other things. There were also extra treatments, e.g. B. with ointments if necessary. In the morning and evening I received medicine tailored to my dosha in the form of spices and herbal wine. Ayurvedic, freshly prepared dishes were served. The menu was varied, healthy, tasty and definitely authentic and unusual for the European palate. I also had the opportunity to do yoga with a yoga teacher several times a week. There are also usually meditation trips to a forested island nearby, but it was canceled because there were no other guests besides me. The complex with pool, garden and bungalows is very well maintained. Nice, clean, spacious but cozy. The style of the furnishings, rustic, fits the country and Ayurveda and supports complete immersion in the spa experience. The property is open to the ocean at the back, giving direct access to the beach. However, in November the beach is littered with branches and parts of plants that are washed in by the rain from a neighboring river mouth. It is a seasonal peculiarity and, according to the locals, it disappears from December onwards. The staff was reserved, polite and helpful. If you are looking for an authentic, high-quality Ayurveda experience, this is the right place! Thanks!
