Best Hotels near Sukanen Ship Pioneer Village & Museum, Moose Jaw

We booked this hotel for our trip to Moose Jaw for a swim meet and we were delighted by the experience. But for one issue with a noisy neighbour (teen basketball team) the first night we arrived, everything was perfect. And once we called the hotel staff about 10:45pm at night, the noise stopped so they took care of it the best they could. Everything is brand new. Our room had two kings and a pullout couch, was very spacious. The staff was friendly, courteous and helpful with every interaction. The manager was actually onsite the entire weekend and when not working the front desk she was working in the breakfast area...we were very impressed with her commitment to making our stay great. She interacted with many of the swim families while we were there. We'll definitely be going back for the two swim meets per year that we attend in Moose Jaw. The hotel was in a good location and close to Tim Horton's and the trolley tours. The staff was very friendly. We stayed in a two bedroom suite with a full kitchen. The bedrooms were large and the beds were comfortable. The kitchen was not stocked upon arrival and we had to request supplies. We were given one pan, a pot, two spoons, a cutting board and three can openers. We ended up purchasing forks, paper plates and a knife from the dollar store in order to use the kitchen to prepare some food during our stay.

Good for price, WIFI good, room clean, good location, a block from ******, pool, downtown. Beautiful park right across the street. Free parking, room had Coffee maker, microwave and fridge and good sized flat screen TV with HDMI. Very basic free breakfast

The breakfast was absolutely wonderful and delicious I highly recommend this hotel for a visit. The BIG Moose is not far away and a Snowbird Jet is right beside it. I didn’t get a chance to visit the tunnels due to a tight time line in my schedule. Happy Trails.

This was the worst hotel experience I've ever had. If the experience we had had been at a $79/night side of the road motel, I would've been much more laissez-faire about it. However, we paid $180, plus parking, plus a $35 pet fee, and would've been more comfortable sleeping in our car. The 2 main issues were: 1. The heat doesn't work on some of the floors. My understanding is the first 3 are the main issue. And when I say it doesn't work, I mean it never reached more than 17 degrees, and cold air blew from the vents straight at the beds THE ENTIRE TIME. This is a problem they know about. They've had people in to fix it, but ”can't”. So, when it's -30 outside, this hotel is charging people $180 to stay in hotel rooms THEY KNOW have no heat! ***?! Do they have heaters, i asked? Some, but not enough for every room, so we were out of luck. In order to actually manage to sleep, we kept a pot of water boiling on the stove all night, went to Canadian Tire to buy our own heater, and each slept with 3 blankets and our clothes on. They offered us extra blankets, but only sent 1 for 4 people and 3 beds. We had to call down 4 times, each time we were on hold for over 10 minutes becausevthe place was a gong show. This leads me to the second issue.. 2. Management of the hotel. This place is BUSY. There was never not a line up at the front desk. Like i said earlier, every time I called down I was on hold for 10 minutes. I've never seen a hotel this size not have at least 2 people on the front desk, but there was only 1. A couple manager looking women walked around, back and forth into the office, etc, but never jumped onto the other desk to help out. It was ridiculous. When we first went up to our room and realized the heat didn't work, we called down to the woman who checked us in to complain. She acted surprised about the heat and gave us the only other room in the hotel because they were full. I waited in line for half an hour to get new keys, and when I got to the front desk a different clerk was now telling me my reservation had ended and there was no room for me. We spent another 10 minutes going around and around, while I tried to explain what had happened. This is when we were told that the heating is a problem they know about and can't fix (not the story we heard from the other clerk) but were assured that the new room would have heat. Nope, that was a lie as well. I could go on, but that's the gist. I'll never stay again.

Rooms were very clean, newly renovated. Breakfast was good. Located around 10 min drive from the city center and near the highway.

We were travelling west and were late leaving so opted for Moose Jaw over Comfort Inn in Swift. On checking we hoped to get to a Scottish restaurant nearby but opted for Greek (more on that elsewhere). The staff were more than helpful, the room was an 11 out of 10 for cleanliness, a thermometer on the shower, close to food options, and then there was the breakfast! 2 types of waffles, mini sausages, scrambled eggs, toast, muffins, bagels , 3 kinds of cereal, etc, etc. More than we needed but watched working guys and families really enjoy. Stay here! The large screen LG TV in the room was a sports bonus! We revised our travel home plans to stay here again --- same experience but even better with a gold course view out back.

The open-air hot spring is good and can take children under 12 years old. The hotel does not provide breakfast. It is recommended to eat at several nearby Chinese restaurants. The most important thing is to go to the hotel reception and check in at the opposite casino parking lot, otherwise you will be charged twice. Potholes!

The room is very big, the bed is also very big, one person is very comfortable, the front desk service is very good, we arrived in the middle of the night, the front desk brother is still smiling service.
