Mantra Zanzibar

Friendly staff, very clean and comfortable apartment, but terrible internet. If you need to work from the apartment, you will need to go to the lobby if you need to join a Teams/Zoom meeting or to load big files. It has a smart TV in the room, but streaming could sometimes not load, and even loading images on social media (forget about watching YouTube unless you are happy to go to the lobby every time you wish to view. Reliable internet should be a given, but it's not at Zanzibar.

Good location. Stayed in a court yard apartment. Bedrooms on the small size as was the ensuite. Interior a little dated. Good size kitchen , with ample appliances, plates, cutlery etc. court yard nice though spa very exposed to balconies above . Air con worked well but didn’t really reach the master bedroom and no ceiling fans. TV temperamental and glitchy. We stayed for 6 nights and no towel or linen change. Missed having a coffee machine. Staff pleasant and helpful and lots of cafe’s and other shops all within walking distance, as was Coles. If you want the hustle and bustle on your door step with lots of walk paths along the beach, this is a good place .

Our MiniMoon (Short Honeymoon) was celebrated here at Mantra Zanzibar, the hotel was incredible, the penthouse with private rooftop spa was absolutely divine! We loved our 3 nights escape from reality to Mooloolaba, spent enjoying the sunset from the roof and the beach sunrises!

Definitely not 4 star-3 at best.We could write a book on our apartment.Well overpriced to what this substandard accommodation is.Accor need to review their relationship with them.Dirty/mould around shower doors/Smells from drainage grills/cobwebs covered balcony/needs a complete repaint/Dishwasher not working properly/wash machine not releasing powder/constant noise from nearby spa filter/Kitchen ceiling been repaired? but not repainted/3 Bed but only lounge seating for 4/stains on carpet/carpet has been patched in at least 3 places/Mantra should consider refund down to 3 star rating to us.Not welcoming to come home to each day.Rather dark-limited sunlight.Entire apartment need s a refurb.Skirting boards black with dust.etc etc.We could go on.......

Disgusting staff are so busy on personal phone calls clients are a secondary consideration. Good location , but lousy internet actually none, and no customer service. Staff go out of there way not to assist. Rang three times about internet well must be your problem because it was not their’s never will go there again
