This is a lovely hotel. We stayed for a skiing holiday at half term in feb in a duplex room which meant our son had a whole room to himself with a large sofa bed. The hotel is well geared up for skiers with an excellent boot room and easy access to the slopes. It's not fully ski in ski out, but there is a track that you can ski down from the boot room to near the bottom of the lifts, and there is another track you can ski down from the pistes that brings you out directly opposite the boot room so minimal walking in ski boots. The hotel has its own ski rental shop next to the boot room. It's slightly more expensive than the normal chain rental companies, but the ski equipment was much newer and in better condition than what we got from intersport. There were only two downsides to the hotel. The first is that the food isn't the best. Breakfast is buffet style and perfectly decent, but its the exactly the same offer every day. The evening meal is limited to 3 starters, 3 mains and 3 deserts and is severly lacking in choice. If we'd have paid for half board we'd have been disappointed. The second downside is that room 701, the lovely duplex room that we had, was adjacent to the bar/restaurant area. That in itself wasn't a problem for most of the week apart from the one night where the hotel had a party in the bar that meant loud music playing until midnight that meant no chance of sleep until the music stopped. We recieved appologies from the hotel staff when we complained at about 11pm and then after the event, but they obviously knew there would be a problem as we're not the first guests to stay in that room and i can't believe that no one else has complained about noise there before. Despite the noise blip, we had a very enjoyable stay and i'd have rated it 5 stars if we'd had not been in the room we had or if the hotel had been a bit more genuine with their appologies.
