"This is a perfect hotel, except for expensive, there is no other problem, the whole trip is the best, stayed for two nights, the second night came back, received a notice saying that the whole Montreal water is cut off. . . . But I still gave a five-star praise.
I didn’t have to take a shower that night, and there was no water until I checked out the next day. The hotel delayed me to check out at 1 o’clock, and gave me four more bottles of mineral water.
Downstairs of the hotel is a jewelry city, there are watches, I fancy a pity that there is no spot, and it is very comfortable to sit at the door and feed the pigeons."
"Very nice hotel with nice reception. I booked a double room and a twin room, and she arranged a connecting room. thank you very much! The rooms are large, comfortable, no odor and cost-effective. The location of the hotel is also very good, and the restaurants around the mall are very close. The hotel has an underground parking lot, but it is no problem to not go to the car under the 7-seater SUV. The big car can be parked in the open-air parking lot next to it. The overnight car is 37 yuan, and the car is 24 yuan. It is also very convenient."
"What a place!! They upgraded our room upon arrival and everything was clean and beautiful!! This place is awesome!!"

"Staying at this hotel for the third time. It is especially recommended for those who need to take the train, because the central station is connected to the back door of the hotel. The hotel's location is within walking distance to the old town and shopping streets. The hotel bed was very comfortable."
"The room is very large, the location is convenient, the bathroom is also very large, there is a bathtub, and the shampoo and shower gel provided are also very good, the hygiene is very clean, and a small dessert is also sent. I like this style of hotel very much. I think it's worth the price."
"An extremely hands off experience but the rooms are nice and the people were friendly, great location a 5 minute walk from most of McGill and close to a metro for when you are first arriving"
"The location is really good, and even though it rained today (June 29th), the Aurora was visible in front of the hotel. It's very clean and the staff is friendly. I got a room in a strange location where you got off the elevator and went down the stairs, so I had trouble with my luggage, but it wasn't a big problem."
"It is located just across the street from the exhibition center, close to the subway station and airport bus stop, and within walking distance of most of Montreal's attractions. The facilities may look a little old, but they are well-maintained, clean, and the staff is friendly."
"The location is excellent, easy to walk around old Montreal area, the hotel is pet friendly, my family enjoy the stay in the hotel. A minor issue with the hotel room is some electric outlet on the wall does not work, a bit inconvenient to change our cell phone."

AAnonymous UserThe room was clean and the facilities were new, but there were no amenities that are usually provided by hotels, such as slippers, shower caps, toothpaste, toothbrushes, etc. No one took the initiative to clean the room and change towels, etc., so you have to make your own requests.

WWei LiRoom size was decent, however the layout of the hotel rooms are akin to a maze. You may have to walk quite far if your room is all the way at the back.
Location is good, which is walking distance to the main station. Service was alright, could have been more swift and efficient as well.
Amenities were great, there is a central pool with jacuzzi tubs at the side, mini sauna and a small-mid sized gym which has sufficient equipments to get a workout in.

GGuest UserSamesun is your good basic budget hostel that I very conveniently located in Montreal. The hostel tends to attract a bit of a younger crowd but still 18-35 is the average age range and the on site bar is fairly popular.
The included breakfast is surprisingly very decent with Bagels, waffles, coffee, juice and cereal on offer and muffins. Breakfast goes from 730am to 10 I believe but I always tried to get there early as I was volunteering for the Montreal comiccon and wanted a good breakfast before starting my day.
The hostel while close to things is also in a bit of a rougher part of town and at night there can be homeless hanging around but most are relatively harmless.
The building is older but the beds are nice and I am a taller guy and could still sleep in the beds fine. I was in the mixed genders dorm and only complaint was the 1 washroom and that you are not just handed a towel when checking in, you have to ask for it or bring your own.
There is another washroom with shower off the kitchen and that helps if the one in your room is busy. 2nd night someone cleaning the room I think had turned off the AC but it was easy to figure out how to turn it back on and when on the rooms are comfortable. Without it though stuffy and hot.
I really liked and appreciated the bag storage offered as I had to check out at 3pm but my Megabus was not until 1230am...but I was able to store my bag until about 10pm and then pick it up and go on my way.
While this hostel does not have a hot tub or all the bells and whistles of others, if all you need is a good room with a decent morning breakfast, this place more than meets your needs.

GGuest UserThe location and staff of the hotel were great, but the facilities were very outdated. It was disappointing that when I looked out of the window, I could only see the wall, and as soon as I opened the door, the bed was right there, which was regrettable.
Due to the fact that there are three hotels with the same name in downtown, it is important to double-check the address and make sure you find the correct one.
YYuen YiWe stayed for 4 nights and the location is perfect. It's in between two metro stations, both are about 6-7 mins walk (Champ de Mars, and Saint Laurent) depends which line you are in. We arrived by train and took the metro at Bonaventure (this is connected to the Central station: ”Gare Centrale”) and arrived at Champ de Mars. There is a supermarket 5 mins away (”IGA”) and the airport bus station is by the hotel. Chinatown is 7 mins away and make sure you visit Sammi dumplings. There is a food court (”Le Central”) 5 mins away although we found it slightly expensive. The Old Port of Montreal and Notre-Dame Basilica are about 15 mins away from the hotel.
Facilities: As a number of people said, the rooms are quite basic and need a lot of uplift. Our room doesn't have any sofa (which was different from the pictures here) but functional so there is no complain. The kitchen is well equipped with pots and pans. We cooked our dinner twice.
Staff and service: all staff are friendly and very helpful, gave advice on directions and always have a smile.
LLivyC75The hotel room was very spacious and well-designed with a large comfortable bed. There’s also a sauna with a beautiful view of the city skyline. The location is just north of Berri-UQAM station which makes travel convenient, although the area itself isn’t particularly safe and during the summer months, it’s clear there are a lot of individuals suffering from homelessness, addiction, and mental health struggles who use the surrounding neighbourhood parks to hang out. The hotel staff were generally helpful although there were a few times we made requests to the front desk that needed following up. The amenities in the room itself felt very well-maintained. One downside was that there was no free bottled water provided and we had to buy water from the shop in the hotel lobby, which was heavily overpriced and we thought it was a bit ridiculous considering the price we were paying for the room. Overall, would recommend as it is a cheaper hotel than others but this comes with a price in terms of area safety and amenities provided by the hotel.
MMarley KThis hotel is a little gem in a super area of downtown Montreal. The room was spotless and the bed was very comfortable, with high-quality sheets and a good selection of comfortable pillows. A kitchenette made it very easy to pick up salads or snacks to refrigerate or reheat leftovers from a restaurant the night before. Breakfast is included and there’s a good selection of fruit, boiled eggs, smoked salmon, deli meats and yogurt. Cereals as well. While there were scrambled eggs, I tried them twice but not cooked to my taste. Having said that, there were fresh pastries and bagels, so a bagel with cream cheese and smoked salmon with some fruit served very well.
This hotel is very walkable to Notre Dame, Place des Arts and several theatres and museums. Lots of great restaurants to suit anyone’s tastes. The subway is literally a 3-minute walk and in 10 minutes, you can be at the Jean Talon Market, which has a plethora of foods and drinks to suit anyone’s taste palate.
I’d highly recommend Hotel and Spa Carre St. Denis and will definitely be back next time I visit Montreal.
GGuest UserWe went there for a couple days during the JFL festival.
We booked the Panorama room, the one we got happened to be on the 7th floor.
First and foremost; I've seen people complain about the noise from the street and homeless people trying to get in the lobby on every website.
-This hotel is right at a busy intersection. There will be noise. It's normal. If you don't want noise, book somewhere away from downtown, period. The area was so close to everything on foot, we absolutely would go back if we happened to go to an event in the future.
-The 3 nights /4 days we've been, no one tried to enter the lobby . We even had some door dashers blocked from going upstairs since they were not staying at the hotel and we had to pick up from the reception. I have no complaints there.
We really appreciated the cooling system in the room; 2 different vents for the bedroom & living room, which were working very well in the hot weather (40°). It allowed us to lower the living room while not pushing direct cold air over us while we slept .
Now, for the 1 star on cleanliness.
Positives:
-The towels and linens were clean and fresh.
-Once done cleaning (I'll get back to this later), we asked for someone to come vacuum the floor and clean them to remove what was moved and fell on the floor, which was done almost instantly.
Negatives;
As I said, we stayed a few days so we actually went to a drug stock to pick up a duster and some cleaning wipes.
- Dust. I am not talking about a small film of dust on hard to reach surfaces. I am talking about wool-covered vents and airways. The duster had no more yellow or white by the time we were done swiping the vents and corners of the rooms from cobwebs and dust.
-Sticky surfaces. We used cleaning wipes to wash up every controllers , switches, tables, chairs and headrest. It was easily cleaned, but the amount of stains removed shows that nothing other than dusting had been done in a while.
-Shower floor. The shower soap holder had sticky spots. We decided to wear flipflops in the shower to prevent from touching the floor directly. It did turn out to be a good move since no towels hanged in the shower were picked throughout our stay so it was definitely getting overlooked.
If you are planning on staying for a bit, do bring some supplies if you don't want to be sneezing or accidentally touching someone else's dinner. That way you get to enjoy all the other great aspects of the hotel.

SShawn FuThe hotel provides excellent service and is very flexible in accommodating additional requests. The room was very clean and quiet, and the breakfast was plentiful. Although the location is not in the city center, in pleasant weather, it is easy to walk west to the downtown area. Walking northeast leads to a typical Quebec residential area with a French-speaking community and restaurants. It was an excellent stay. Thank you to the owner and staff!
