Disappointing. The hotel amenities state that there is a 24 hour free airport shuttle bus, it does not run 24 hours. We had to pay for a taxi back to the airport. There was a cold water dispenser with lemons in the lobby but it was empty. A coffee machine was provided in the room, however, of the 3 coffee pods one was used and only thin plastic cold beverage cups were provided. The room was big, shows signs of wear but the air conditioning worked well and the bed was comfortable. The area around the hotel is a typical airport hotel, not much going on.

Hotel is right in the Chinatown district of Montreal. Parking is below, while small and tight, there is room. There is a small daily fee to park, typical of large cities. I went to the second floor to check in and was given my room on the higher floor. It’s typical for a downtown Holiday Inn. Room clean, nice view of the city, furnace worked well, sadly weak shower pressure found so often. Because I am a Platinum IHG member, breakfast was included both days I stayed. It was typical American despite being in a Chinese themed hotel due to location. Buffet style and filling. The staff were friendly and helpful. I had a large amount of Canadian coins I had collected over the years in the States, and they were happy to convert to bills and loonies/toonies. That helped with small purchases in the city. Checkout went well. I had no issues with safety despite coming back late at night.

Downtown Montreal
Located in the center of Montreal, this hotel is a good walk to Old Montreal as well as to the shops on St Catherine St W. It is also nicely located near the subway and the Exo train around the corner. The hotel itself gives off a Japanese vibe, and is quiet and modern with an excellent coffee machine in a large room. My only quibbles were the absence of a pen or pencil and small notepad - always needed when you can never find them - and bathrobe. But otherwise friendly staff and a nice experience was had in this upscale hotel.
