Love the environment here, lovely city lovely town, the michelin restaurant also fantastic

...and so rarely is. Try it if you possibly can, and you will never forget dinner at the Jardin des Sens.

Great location, very helpful and friendly staff, lovely looking hotel. However our room (room 5) was too dark. We asked for, and immediately received, an extra reading lamp for the desk, but the lovely chandelier over the comfortable sitting chairs was not bright enough to read. Yes, I know, we didn't go there to read, but we do read a bit while planning the next day. We were very disappointed in the bistro food, which was odd as the big restaurant has an excellent reputation and the same kitchen prepares the food. Maybe we had an off night - it happens. Breakfast was more than fine.

After a not great experience at another property which we did not end up staying at, we booked 6 night at the Hotel. From the minute we walked in we felt like royalty. They knew who we were and were expecting us. We booked this hotel 30 minutes before we arrived by the way. From the first greeting, we felt at home. We have stayed at very nice hotels though our 33 year marriage but not one met the standard of the Hotel Richer De Belleval. Every single detail is perfectly thought of. We did not pay for breakfast each day because we like to explore, but the breakfast experience alone make you want to come back each day. I can’t explain how welcoming ever single person has been. They take care of every desire. For example, this afternoon after a long bike ride my wife and I took to the beach. We returned and wanted to enjoy a bottle of wine my wife and I bought on an olive grove and wine tour two days earlier on the terrace. The team here was so accommodating and helped us uncork the wine and provide necessary glasses, etc. every time we enter and leave the premises for the day it’s like say hello and goodbye to your friend. I dot know what else to say. Tonight we are excited to dine at the Michelin rates restaurant three years running. We cannot wait. This will be a sad hotel to leave. I cannot recommend this hotel enough. The old town historic narrow street district is a gem to explore. Absolutely amazing.

An historic hotel in the centre of old Montpellier with around 20 rooms overlooking a square of flower beds. Rooms are spacious, well furnished and maintained. The hotel oozed charm and hospitality and the staff throughout are pleasant and helpful. I doubt it would be possible to better this hotel in Montpellier. One slight drawback is the hotel is set back amongst old buildings around 100m off the main Rue Foch and not easy to get to - we booked the valet parking service and were met on Rue Foch and guided in.
