The unit is up four flights of a dark and narrow spiral stairway. By the time we dragged four heavy suitcases up those stairs in stifling heat, we were exhausted. The agent spoke no English and I upset her in frustration. She eventually phoned the host and he advised us that he lived in the apartment too which we were not happy with. We were not travelling on a budget so we found a very nice hotel 300 meters away that was only €45 per night more incl breakfast. If you’re young and fit and on a budget this could be ok but not for us.

Casa Roma ist völlig überbewertet in booking com. Zuerst muss eine steile, enge und ausgetretene Treppe in den 5. Stock bewältigt werden, was einen ziemlichen Kraftakt bedeutet. Es handelt sich nicht um eine Suite, wie beschrieben, sondern um ein gewöhnliches Zimmer, ohne Möglichkeit, Kleider aufzuhängen oder zu versorgen. Das WC ist nur mit einem Vorhang vom Zimmer abgetrennt. Casa Roma ist hoffnungslos überzahlt, da hilft auch ein freundlich serviertes Morgenessen nicht.
