The hotel, bedrooms and spa were excellent. The breakfast and food at the Bistro however were very disappointing for a Relais Chateau hotel.

A beautiful hotel, well equipped rooms, a fabulous swimming pool and above all friendly, helpful and efficient staff for whom nothing was too much trouble. We had a fabulous stay. The old part of the hotel is lovely but the more modern elements are linked to it seamlessly. The public spaces have great works of art and the bar does fabulous cocktails!

We own a home in SW France, so regularly stay at different hotels between our UK and France homes. Château Saint-Jean truly is the best hotel I have found anywhere in France. It is beautifully presented and spotlessly clean. Furthermore, it came across that all of the staff I came into contact with (without exception) couldn't do enough to enhance a guests stay. It really did come across that all of the staff genuinely cared and wanted this hotel to succeed and stand out as exceptional, which it certainly is. The food in the Bistro restaurant and staff there were also all fantastic. I am planning to return to Château Saint-Jean again in the coming days as part of my trip back to the UK, and this time I plan to experience their La Chapelle Restaurant. In short, we will never stay anywhere else as part of our halfway stop between the UK and SW France. It really is the best hotel I've ever found in France! Thank you to all the staff for making my stay a real pleasure.

Lovely overnight stop
Beautiful place, lovely Bistro although you would probably only eat there once as the menu was quite small.
