Good value for the money, friendly staff, located 300m from the castle which means a perfect location for a quick stroll through the medieval old town, several restaurant around, view from the window directly on the river..
it was just a stopover night during the trip but a good choice

When I checked in, it was just in time for the hotel lobby to be renovated, but the price of the hotel was really impressive. The hotel is close to the lake.

We had booked a standard double room and when we arrived the room was small barely adequate and to top it all the bed was 2 singles pushed together not comfortable at all .The restaurant was closed which we did not realise until we arrived although a map of local places to eat was available.

On arrival we were greated by two very pleasant young ladies in reception who were very helpful. The hotel is in the perfect position, on the banks of the river and also on the edge of the historic quarter of Montlucon. Good parking and plenty of nearby restaurants. The breakfast area overlooks the riverside, normal continental breakfast plus scrambled eggs and bacon. A very good choice. Recommended!

The hotel is situated on the edge of the historic quarter of Montlucon. It is an easy walk around the area to view the half timbered houses etc. Our thanks to the young lady on reception was extremely helpful and friendly. We had a problem where the curtain was broken, but we were swiftly given another room, which was very clean and tidy, with a very comfortable bed. The breakfast area was quite spacious and overlooked the rivetside. Breakfast consisted of breads, croissants, chocolate au pain, cereals, jams, scrambled and boiled eggs, together with tea, coffee, hot chocolate and fruit juices. Thoroughly recommended.

Overpriced rates for services and French standards. I do not recommend at all. The rooms are tiny. You have to be athletic to move around. The maintenance of the building is deplorable. Everything pays off a cash machine. Your well-being is far from being a priority

I usually go to the ibis but the hotel is seriously deteriorating with odors in the corridor on the 1st floor, floor and wall carpet would need to be updated like the bathroom joints fortunately the rooms are always clean

We came to spend 2 days in Montluçon. We really enjoyed the Ibis hotel, which faces the river, nice view. The staff are very pleasant and helpful. The room is nice, very good bedding (on a comfortable mattress), and the bathroom is perfect, towels, hygiene product and hair dryer provided. Ideal in this period, the air conditioning in the room is well regulated and appreciable with 30,°c outside! Breakfast is served as a buffet, wide choice of breads, pastries, cereals, sweet, savory, eggs, very good coffees... Copious and for all tastes. The historic center is accessible on foot in 6/7 minutes, the location is really top! The city is charming, a city of history and character, castle... Must see!
