Comfort Inn & Suites Montgomery East Carmichael Rd

The room was very spacious and allowed me to work in privacy while my son was also in the room. The staff did an exceptional job, especially considering that I and other hurricane evacuees filled the hotel. Each and every staff member was friendly, helpful, and understanding of the situation. Tina assisted me in securing the room for as long as I needed it. And I also want to recognize Keressa, Tyrell and D'andre. Thank you for your warm hospitality.

This hotel had very friendly staff. The hotel was very clean, including the room we booked. The price of the room was acceptable. Would recommend this hotel to anyone who can appreciate a good clean and hospitable place to stay while traveling.
Holiday Inn Express Montgomery - East I-85

at Alabama Shakespeare Festival and this was just 5 minutes away (by car). Small hotel, just 3 floors, small inside pool, ample free parking and nice complimentary breakfast area (6A-9A). The hotel is across the street from Waffle House and next door to Taco Bell. Around the corner is a main drag with an Aldi, pet store, Lowe's, TJMaxx, McDonald's, and lots more shopping and dining. There are a lot of small, older looking hotels in the immediate area and I was a little concerned as we were getting close. Think this place has been recently renovated. Carpet, flooring and paint are all new, fresh and modern. No safe in the room but iron/board, a large fridge, small keurig (with supplies), individually wrapped plastic cups, ice bucket and a king bed under a fluffy white comforter & bright clean sheets. Just an overnight, so didn't use the shower/tub, but bathroom was very clean, good sink for washing face & decent counter space for 2 folks' stuff. Looked like our 3rd floor window might unlock & slide open but we didn't try it. Bed was big and comfy. TV has Spectrum, which I'd never used. There was a card listing the channels but the bad part was that the (channel guide) station that showed what programs were on was a static screen that you couldn't navigate. It just showed programming on dozen channels for a few seconds then the next dozen. You just had to wait if you missed the one you were looking for, definitely not set up for you to browse, looking for something good to watch. Also, it didn't show all the channels, maybe half of them. They have all the usual stations plus about 5 HBOs, but we had to use Google to figure out exactly what Bruce Willis movie we were watching. Breakfast was good with several juices, sausage links and patties, scrambled eggs and pre-made egg white veggie omelets, biscuits and turkey gravy. Also available: cereals, oatmeal, fruit, milk, coffee, chobani yogurt, bagels, Otis Spunkmeyer muffins, hot cinnamon rolls and my favorite: the 1 minute pancake machine! Self-serve area and dining was busy but kept clean by a friendly young lady. Small 'pantry' to purchase snacks (sweets, chips, popcorn, drinks) at the front desk and free ice machine. Place was all very clean but may be older. There was some rust on the bottom on the shower curtain rod and one panel on our window had white discoloration. Air was pretty cold most of the time, and again, everything was clean. *ONE NOTE: Plenty of bedside plugs (right on the tables, not down on the walls-Nice!) But, NO USB PORTS. We brought cords but husband forgot his plug so we had to share. Not a huge problem, but might affect some folks. Would definitely stay here again. Staff was quick and friendly on check in & helpful when I bought Cheetos that night. Dropped our key in a tray on the counter on our way out, nice and simple.
Americas Best Value Inn Montgomery, Al

This is a no frills sort of motel...only stay if you are purposely looking for a cheap place. (It's interesting that it's right in front of nicer hotels such as Best Western, etc.) But, I wanted a cheap hotel for one night and that's exactly what I got. I can say the bed was comfortable and it was quiet. The bathroom is not that great - the floors needed extra cleaning and the tub was yellow from old age. The water pressure was good but it was not comfortable showering in a yellow tub.
Renaissance Montgomery Hotel & Spa at the Convention Center

The hotel has a central location in downtown. Close to the river and many restaurants. I arrived to an attentive valet who walked me to the desk that allowed for an expedient check in from a clerk that was very personable but not too chatty. The dolls behind the desk are a bit creepy, but that is the only bad thing I would say about the hotel. The room is well appointed and I was fortunate to get a view of the river. The breakfast was satisfying the next morning as well. Every person I encountered was friendly and accommodating.
Courtyard Montgomery

In some ways, my stay at the Courtyard was fine. Staff was friendly and welcoming. However, the property was not well kept up. When I first checked in, I was given a room right next to the elevator, which I requested to be away from. The ice machine had water constantly running (it was clearly malfunctioning). In my room, when I tried to close the curtains, they would not close. I wrestled around with them for awhile, but I could not get them to fully close. They always stayed open about a 1-2’ gap. The woman at the front desk kindly moved me to a new room, yet the new room smelled of stale smoke. The faucet dripped all night, and in the morning there was no hot water. The hotel did not have complimentary coffee in the lobby, which would have been nice. The key card door locks were all persnickety — and it took a while to open doors. My stay was ok (not terrible) but I don’t think I’d stay here again.
