We purchased The Lost Cabin at the Creek in May of 2020 and are fully committed to providing the highest level of service. We have upgraded the property for more enjoyment for our guests. We hope you will love your stay as much as we do when we can escape to The Lost Cabin at the Creek!THE CABIN This beautiful property is called The Lost Cabin at the Creek because it is an excellent place to disconnect, escape and relax. The creek provides great opportunities for fishing, swimming, exploring, viewing wildlife, and generally enjoying the outdoors. The cabin was constructed in 2013 and provides two bedrooms, a sleeping loft, bathroom with shower, well equipped kitchen, gas log fireplace, screened-in back porch, hot tub, charcoal grill, fire pit, and all the amenities necessary to enjoy your stay. The cabin sleeps 6 people with both bedrooms having queen size beds. The loft is furnished with 2 twin beds.THE PROPERTYThe Lost Cabin sits directly on 600 feet of the banks of Lick Creek, running the entire length of the property. The creek is spring fed and runs year round. On the back of the cabin is a screened-in porch which leads to the outside deck and a 4-person hot tub. All of these areas provide great views of the creek. Next to the back porch is a cooking and entertainment area that includes a charcoal grill with outdoor seating, and a fire pit (wood provided). The outdoor entertainment area gently slopes down to water for easy creek access. The creek has formed a natural swimming and fishing area. The land across the dirt road is a part of Lost Cabin at the Creek property, so please enjoy the amenities there as well. The swimming hole is across the dirt road. Rushing water over the rock formation provides relaxing sounds and another great area to enjoy the creek.AREA ACTIVITIESBlack Springs is located 1-1/2 miles from Norman, AR. There is plenty to see and do while in the area. Lake Ouachita, Lake Hamilton, and Lake Greeson are all within a 30 minute drive; each of which provide great fishing, boating, and water sports. Favorite activities in the area include: Tubing the Caddo River, hiking trails, kayak & canoe rentals, fishing, golf, bird watching, wild life viewing & photography, sailing, horseback riding, digging for diamonds at the Arkansas State Diamond Mine in Murfreesboro, quartz crystals in Mount Ida, and massages at the Hot Springs National Park Spa Houses. All of these opportunities are generally within a 15 to 45 minute drive of the cabin. If you would like to use the gas grill just ask for the propane cylinder and I will hook it up. Our Cub cabin will not disappoint if you are needing some time away from your busy lifestyle. It is nestled in the Ouachita Mountains and offers quiet solitude for refreshing your mind and spirit. We also offer a Roku TV to enjoy & wifi (when wifi is working from company), if not you may use your personal hotspot once ready to come indoors.Our Cub cabin is off the main drag but close enough to town if you should need supplies. It is well stocked with the essentials for cooking as well with plenty of linens. There is plenty to do within minutes. There are hiking and biking trails nearby and plenty of fishing and water activities in the Ouachita area.The Lovit trail is just a few miles from the cabin. It heads at beautiful Lake Ouachita and follows the lake for a beautiful hike and is great for mountain biking too! You can launch your boat within minutes at Twin Creeks boat ramp. We have plenty of parking at Bear Den Cub Cabin, along with a place to plug up your boat to charge your batteries! There is a great fishing pier at the launch site along with a place to swim. You can visit one of the crystal mines in the area where you can dig your own crystals and keep whatever you find. Hot Springs is east of the cabin about 30 minutes. Check out Bath House Row down town. If you are in to horse racing, Oaklawn Park is a big attraction in Hot Springs. (Seasonal) If you are wanting solitude, simple stay at the cabin where you can sit around the fire pit after you have grilled on the charcoal grill.
