This is actually quite a nice hotel, despite some of the negative reviews, the room I stayed in on the 6th floor was recently refurbished, comfy bed, good shower and cleaned daily. Location is very good only a short walk to the main street. Found a wonderful restaurant on the same street, Paraguay. "Montevideo Al Sur" well worth a visit. While the staff at reception and the housekeeping staff are friendly. The ladies at the breakfast counter are the most sullen, unfriendly and unkempt, dirty uniforms, unprofessional bunch I ever cane across. Never a good morning or a please or thank you. Somebody should tell them that if there were no guests they would not have a job. Management should step up to the mark.

While this budget-friendly hotel offers a central location in Montevideo, several issues significantly impacted our stay. The most problematic was the consistently poor Internet connectivity throughout the property. Despite reporting the problem, the staff's solutions were inadequate - first suggesting the hotel was at capacity, then recommending we step outside our room to find a signal. Even after being moved to a different room, the connection remained subpar. The unprofessional attitude of the reception staff further diminished our experience. During check-in, we were kept waiting while the receptionist completed what was clearly a personal phone call. The issues were so frustrating that we ultimately cut our stay short by one day, despite having prepaid for our entire booking. While the hotel's central location and affordable rates are attractive, travelers who require reliable Internet connectivity should consider other options.

Very good service, excellent location, reception staff exchange currency which makes it easier especially on weekends. Very nice rooms, nice decor, nice bathroom. Would definitely come back.

Large and very impersonal hotel. Well located, 10min walk from the old center of Montevideo. Excellent breakfast, with a lot of variety and quality. Staff works well. Room a little cramped and with a problem with the window seal, which allowed a little wind to come in all the time. Noises can also be heard from other rooms. Average hotel, more or less. I don't recommend it, but it's not to be avoided either. Resolve, if there is no better option.
