Circus Hostel&Hotel Montevideo

The hostel is well located in the historic part, has a good structure and accommodation, however the hygiene of the room for individual accommodation, especially the bathroom, left a lot to be desired. We requested cleaning and even after that it still had stains and cobwebs, they just changed the carpet.

The service has not been very good, the receptionist only limited herself to telling us the number of our room, but she did not show us the place or explain to us the spaces that we could live in the hostel and based on experiences in hostels they always show you the place, the kitchen, bathrooms, terrace. Well not here, you have to find out on your own. Not only that, but they also gave me a thin blanket and when I went to ask for another one (taking into account that we are two guests in the room) the guy at the reception said he didn't have any and to wait until the next day. How strange that in a hotel and hostel you don't have more blankets? In short, the staff leaves a lot to be desired. On the other hand, it also doesn't have a kitchen or refrigerator (which prevents us from being able to cook and reduce expenses), so I don't know why it's called a hostel, obviously they didn't explain that to us when we paid for the room. To highlight the cleanliness and location of the hostel are impeccable, the rooms have private bathrooms and there is hot coffee available all day.

Cancelaram no dia da chegada para faturar mais com a cidade lotada para a final da copa sulamericana. Com muita dificuldade consegui o estorno. Agora, 6 meses depois, lançaram a cobrança em meu cartão sem qualquer aviso. Ainda bem que notei

Pontos positivos: a área comum é bonita e agradável, o atendimento é bom e tem ar condicionado no quarto. Pontos negativos: fiquei duas noites, na segunda acordei cheia de picadas de algum inseto, coçaram muito por vários dias (o quarto ficava fechado já que tinha ar condicionado então não deve ter sido picada de mosquitos, mas de algum inseto do colchão, é só o que posso imaginar). Não tem cozinha para os hóspedes (o que faz muita falta já que a comida em Montevidéu é absurdamente cara). Localizado no centro histórico, próximo de ponto de ônibus e de fácil deslocamento pela cidade, mas a região é muito vazia aos finais de semana, não tem quase nada aberto próximo. Sinceramente, eu não voltaria depois do pesadelo que passei com as picadas, ficaram caroços por dias pelo corpo. É bem diferente do Circus de Buenos Aires que tem um café da manhã muito bom inclusive.

O hostel tem uma boa estrutura de quarto para um hostel. Limpeza muito boa, porém como estrutura de cozinha não parece um hostel. Não tem fogão, não tem geladeira e como não tem café da manhã para quem é celíaco, muito ruim. Porque só tem opções com trigo, na parte da manhã. Tem uma atendente maravilhosa que se chama Josefina. Recomendo muito, mas quem quer uma cozinha, não.
