Casa Batsu Charming Bnb

What a special place Casa Batsu is! Carlos and Paola are the most gracious hosts. First of all, the property is absolutely beautiful. The grounds are immaculately kept and there’s a beautiful trail to hike right there on the property. We stayed in the Colibri room, which was perfect for our family of 4. Carlos cooked us breakfast each morning and, my goodness, it was phenomenal. Every morning was such a treat! He took time to come up with fun meals that my kids would enjoy, too! The location of Casa Batsu was also fantastic. We rented a car and could easily get around Santa Elena and explore Monteverde from the hotel. What a special place Casa Batsu is! Our stay there was a big highlight of our trip. I definitely recommend!

Got a personal recommendation to stay at Casa Batsu in Monteverde. It is a. Beautiful BnB, our room was stunning, large, the breakfast changes daily. Carlos and Paula created a gorgeous and welcoming oasis. We arrived at about 22:00 and Carlos waited for us with a glass of wine, fruit & cheese. He helped with the luggage and let us relax. We met him in the morning when he was preparing the daily scrumptious breakfast. He sat with us with recommendations of where to go and helped us booked some of the attractions. One day we got stuck due to a mudslide blocking the road. Upon describing the issue to Carlos, he shared the number of his friend the taxi driver who came to pick us up from the other side of the landslide within 15 minutes. Next day Carlos drove us to pick up our car. The huge heart, the generosity, finding time to socialize with and make sure his guests are happy, is priceless.

My wife and I absolutely loved our two night stay at Casa Batsu. Like the other 500 five-star reviewers before us, we found every aspect of this Bed and Breakfast to be delightful and exceptional. Our room was impeccably clean and nicely furnished and the rest of the grounds and dining areas were just as comfortable and immaculate. Carlos, his wife and the rest of the staff are all exceptionally warm, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a gourmet delight as everyone before me has testified. We were pleasantly surprised to discover that a multi-course dinner is also available nightly for an additional cost which was outstanding and worth every extra penny. In fact, it was the best dinner we had in our two and a half weeks in Costa Rica. Casa Batsu is as wonderful as others have said. We highly recommend staying here. Make a reservation as soon as you know you'll be in the Monteverde area. You won't regret it!

This place is a true gem. Carlos, Paula, Adriana and staff made sure we felt at home. The property itself is super nice and within 3-4 minutes drive from Monteverde center. It's very spacious and very well maintained. Rooms are big, very clean, and were well set for our arrival. They have a nice 3 km trail that goes around their property. What makes it truly special is the love and caring from Carlos and their staff. Carlos made some really good breakfast and accommodated our dietary needs. Turkish eggs that he made for us were best ever I had. All the fruits are from their garden and very delicious. We missed our dog on the trip, but Rex (Carlos and Paula family dog) gave us so much love. We truly felt at home, so Gracias Carlos and family.

This was the best place we stayed in Costa Rica. It's absolutely perfect. It's right outside of Santa Elena and Monteverde. A 5 minute drive at most to get to either town. It might be a little far to walk, but definitely easy in the car. He has plenty of parking near the front of the property. When we arrived, the owner, Carlos, provided us with welcome fruit smoothies and gave us a little tour of his bnb, and it's charming and clean. We were in the Los Perezosos room with our two adult children - we all fit just fine on the two comfortable queen beds. The room was immaculate and the bathroom was large and had lots of hot water, plush towels, and nice toiletries. They even provide robes. Every morning Carlos fixed us a beautiful, fresh and delicious breakfast, accompanied by amazing Costa Rican coffee and smoothies. He and his staff put their fruit rinds on a tree in his garden, and it attracts all sorts of gorgeous birds that provide a fun and interesting show while you're eating on the covered patio. I absolutely would recommend this property - you won't be disappointed. So clean, so kind, so beautiful. Thank you Carlos, for allowing us to stay with you and your wife at your perfect bnb. You have created a treasure in the center of Costa Rica!

Such a nice place to stay! Felt like our own house. Carlos took care of everyone, and also made the perfect breakfast. Comfy beds and large charming rooms. Quiet area, with a nice garden. We had no car, but a walk into Monteverde only took 15 minutes.
