Great location! Close to a Michelin guide restaurant. Within walking distance to downtown Monterey and the wharf. Staff were very friendly.

It is actually a motel in the town of Monterey, serving as a stopover on Highway 1. There is free parking, and there are restaurants and supermarkets around, which is quite convenient. The hotel is also close to Carmel, 17 Mile and other attractions. Overall, it’s average and I wouldn’t highly recommend it.

Facilities: No heating, only a small electric heater (quite loud), complete paper towels and toiletries
Hygiene: Clean and tidy, no odor, really dislike American quilts (two sheets sandwiched together)
Environment: Close to the road but not too noisy, plenty of parking spaces in the hotel yard (free), the hotel is very open, a bit like a motel
Service: We met two front desks, one was very enthusiastic, the other was very indifferent
