The ancient city is very beautiful, there is a millennium wine cellar that was rebuilt from the previous church, highly recommended! Belongs to the best wine in Italy. Very suitable for a slow life holiday, with swimming pool. The hotel has its own wines and can be booked for a visit to the winery.

Agriturismo Merigge turned out to be the perfect place for us to spend some relaxing days in Toscana. It is well located with only a short drive to both Montepulciano as well as Pienza. Also, it is not far from Siena and therefore the perfect location to discover the Toscana. Our stay was very relaxing, the grounds, pool and sorroundings as well as the room are very well kept, traditional but yet modern. There is a large pool with sun until the evening. The owners Tiziana and Raffaele are great hosts and provided us with helpful tips to explore Toscana and cooked amazing dinners for us every night as the restaurants were closed in the evenings. All in all it was an exceptional stay and we are already looking forward to our next stay we booked in spring.
