Our second visit to Stelle di Monte even surpassed our first visit and that was pretty special. Such a beautiful place to relax and enjoy everything this part of Italy has to offer. Gorgeous rooms with your every need catered for. Igor and Nathalie are the perfect hosts - nothing is too much trouble for either of them - they are so welcoming. We cannot wait to return.

Found this one on a YouTube travel video - it didn’t let us down. Arrived to Nathalie and Igor showing us the most spectacular view of our trip (seriously, we drove the panorama road to Montalcino and no view along there compared to the one from Stelle Di Monte) and pouring us a glass of wine. The room was sensational as was the entire property. Very walkable into the town (although beware it’s a hilltop town, so you’ll walk up a bit). Breakfast every morning was sensational, and looking down into the patchwork Tuscan valley up to the town of Montepulciano was honestly something out of a dream. If you stay here you definitely need to do the dinner by Igor. Absolutely worth it. 11/10 recommend. It won’t be the cheapest place on your trip, but we looked at it as the place to splash out. We did not regret that decision.

My husband and I stayed here on our honeymoon and had a perfect experience. The view is so breathtaking I still struggle to comprehend it! The location is perfect for a walk/hike into Montepulciano. The room was gorgeous and well appointed. Breakfast was included and impressive every morning. We enjoyed our time in the hot tub grotto and recommend doing a dinner with Chef Igor if you get the opportunity. It is rare that I want to return to a place I've already been, because I tend to think there is always something better out there. But I would return to Stella di Monte in a heartbeat. I think you'd be hard pressed to find a better accommodation in the area. With only a handful of rooms it is really such an intimate experience.

This is the most beautiful place to stay with unbelievable views and the wonderful accommodations. Nathalie and her husband Igor’s care and attention to detail and our requests were great. The dinner that Igor created was Amazing. He is an excellent chef. We will definitely stay there again.

If you enjoy peace, charm, first class service and amenities, beautifully situated accommodation in close proximity to the bustle of an iconic Italian hilltop town then this is the place for you. From the personalized welcome, visit to the wine cellar and familiarization with the boutique hotel, we loved every moment of our stay here. An acclaimed chef, Igor cooks X 3 a week - and our dinner was one for the memory banks. Breakfast is excellent too, and is overseen by Nathalie, nothing is too much trouble. Beautifully appointed rooms, a walk to town or carpark included, local advice and assistance - so many things to do in close proximity. No, there is no pool (there is a thermal plunge pool in a restored “cave”) but you won’t need it; nor is there television - the WiFi is fast, so you can check into the real world when you need to. Cannot recommend this idyllic, hillside accommodation enough. We did not want to leave.
