Palazzo Carletti

JAW DROPPING! When I say I what a view, I mean it! Not only that, but service was absolutely incredible. Extremely pleasant staff. They will go above and beyond to do anything to make your stay better. It’s a very small boutique hotel, but that does not mean small amenities or services. Large TV in the living room and bedroom- incredibly easy to connect to your smartphone and watch your shows or listen to incredible music! Bar cart in the lobby for guests, fully stocked fridge and ice maker in your room! Jacuzzi tub that can easily fit 4 adults ( but of course meant for 2). The breakfast is top notch: served to you with coffee, juices, fruits, breads, cheeses. There is absolutely nothing that this place misses. I will hate to leave this place. Btw:ask for The Albany Suite! Not sure if the other rooms have as spectacular a view!

Staff are a great asset, however finding the hotel and getting there will break you. No one tells you about the no access and no parking. Google maps also has no idea. Would not recommend this if you are driving yourself. Room is adequate however we did have the smell of septic coming from the bathroom which we put down the age of the township.

Lots of contact with Frederica before we booked. Hotel only has 5 rooms, you are lucky if you get one. Frescoes are original ones from 1756, rooms are amazing, High beautiful decorated ceilings, great showers, comfy bed, free minibar, drinks trolley in the main room is included in the price too. Breakfast in the main room is a moment to treasure. Car parking in P6, third level, spaces 21-24. I rolled the cases up the stairs into the Main Street. Ring doorbell on your right, look for Palazzo Carletti, it’s on the second floor. We had a wonderful time, amazing experience

The restored palazzo is beautiful, and you feel like you are minor nobles in the city, stepping into the beautiful entry and the rooms are exceptionally nice. The folks here are super helpful and friendly, and the breakfast is very wonderful. As far as location, you couldn't be in a better place to step outside and be right where you want to be. Finding the actual entry to the hotel (it isn't a typical hotel with a big sign and entry) is a bit tricky, so just make sure to really follow the directions. Similarly getting to the drop off point involves some hairy navigation through what seem like pedestrian only roads, but once you get brave enough and finally find the one parking spot nearby you can use to load and unload, and then manage to get back to the P6 parking lot to park (also a bit tricky to find and navigate), the location of the stay couldn't be better for a one day stay here, and be right in the middle of everything. Definitely a very different type of stay from hotels and Airbnbs (basically a beautiful blend of the two, so a nice way for us to have mixed up our stays in italy to try a bit of variety). Highly recommend.

Our recent stay at Palazzo Carletti was truly memorable. The Deluxe Carletti suite was beautiful and had every amenity we could have wanted. The staff went above and beyond (special thanks to Federica) to make our stay special! This was a perfect location for exploring Montepulciano and surrounding area. We can't wait to return in the future.

Not only because the place is wonderful, full of history, spacious, excellent located, surroundings, decor, amazing breakfast, but because of your beautiful heart. You know how he be the best host. Awesome awesome awesome property. Our favorite hotel on a one month road trip. Absolutely beautiful restoration, killer views, and great breakfast. we booked the room with the best view and we were so glad that we did so!

I booked a three night stay at Palazzo Carletti and was wowed with the room, salon and service. Federica, the host/manager, was waiting for us at check-in time, to assist with luggage and parking the car (off-site, tricky to get to with Montepulciano's narrow and windy streets.) The room was sensational, high, painted ceilings and walls, extremely large, with a fully equipped bathroom of lotions, fluffy towels and robes. We also had a small refrigerator stocked with various drinks and treats, all of which were at no extra cost and replenished the next day. This is a steal at the price charged for a room, it should probably be double to stay in such luxury. The salon is where breakfast is served, included in your reservation. Everything you could possibly want to start the day, from sandwiches to cakes to croissants, fruit and coffee, tea and juice. Also located in the salon is a bar cart, stocked with all kinds of liquor for you to make your own drinks during the day, at no additional charge. What, have I arrived at heaven? All of this is overseen by Federica, who exudes warmth and professionalism. There is nothing she could not do. First time in Montepulciano? Here's a map, I'll circle some destinations. Need dinner reservations? Here's where I recommend, done. Wine tours? Let me call and see if space is available. Honestly, Federica should teach a masterclass on being a hostess/concierge. She made our stay so enjoyable. And when we departed early in the morning, without asking Federica offered to make us a to go breakfast the night before so we would have some food on the road. I miss Federica as much as I miss Palazzo Carletti, she's that good. You will thank me for reviewing this place if you stay here. It is a magnificent testimony to Italian hospitality and lodging. Yes, the city is difficult to get to, requiring maneuvering around many turns and narrow streets. But you will be rewarded with an outstanding memory of Tuscany and a love for Palazzo Carletti.

This is an excellent place to stay in the city center of Montepulciano. The manager Federica is an excellent host. This was our second time staying there. Each room is different with different features. One of our rooms had a balcony overlooking the Montepulciano countryside. It was wonderful.
