No telephone in the Royal suite, so walk around in the building finding staff, we had to ask 2 times for toiletpaper and showergel in 3 days, 4 beds in the garden for all the possible guests, doorbell did not work late night, Warning: construction works next to hotel, we were only informed after check in

The experience was nothing like I was expecting. An HIDDEN GEM. Afonso and his family made us feel like we were at home. From the guided tour to the chocolate workshop the experience was unforgettable! Thank you so much. I recommend this to everyone that’s passing by or around Montemor!

We arrived in Montemor-o-Novo late in the afternoon and had to search out this hotel. No outdoor signs, no staff, no front desk. We could not believe that the Portuguese tourist industry had rated this (bed and breakfast) as 5 star. We had left the southern coast after staying in a lovely 5 star hotel with the best services to find family members; who could not communicate answering the door. After seeing the accommodations and dubbing it Hotel California; we decided to take a loss and find other arrangements. This facility should be rated 2 star at best.

1. Rooms with dust (unfinished cleaning?); 2. Mini bar empty (never saw this in any small hotel); 3. Design of the rooms?? Be careful because all rooms are outside the palace- where was before the horse stables - where is the design? 3. Bathroom totally cold and empty without any details; 4. Therefore the requested price is totally out of reality regarding the quality attributes. It’s completely unforgivable that when someone has something to express, and the business owners don’t accept the reviews and experiences of their customers, even if they weren’t positive.

I went to Palacete Real Companhia do Cacau with my boyfriend during the summer and I could not be happier for that decision. The bedroom is spacious and the decor is really nice. The bed is one of the most comfortables that I have slept one. The owners are very sweet and made our trip even more special. They told us all about the palace renovation, guided us on a tour at the chocolate factory, and made us feel at home. It is such a privilege to stay in a seclude place, waking up to the birds and have an early swim, while staying in the historical centre of the town. Really recommend the stay and be sure to buy the chocolates

Una palacete con encanto y muy recomendable. Afonso es el anfitrión perfecto, pendiente en todo momento de que la estancia sea inolvidable para disfrutar! Las instalaciones.. el impresionante desayuno, la piscina, la habitación… una maravilla! Y la visita guiada a la fábrica de chocolate fue toda una experiencia. Desde luego que repetiremos! Vale mucho la pena alojarse! Recomendable 100x100!!!

Desde o momento da chegada até ao último dia, tudo foi simplesmente impecável. A equipa foi sempre atenciosa, simpática e pronta a ajudar em tudo o que precisámos. As instalações estavam impecavelmente limpas, bem cuidadas e com todos os pormenores pensados para proporcionar conforto e bem-estar. A localização é fantástica, perfeita para relaxar e desligar da rotina. Destaco ainda a qualidade dos chocolates da fábrica e o ambiente calmo e acolhedor — tudo contribuiu para uma experiência inesquecível. Sem dúvida, um lugar a voltar e que recomendamos a 100%! Ficamos neste alojamento na nossa noite de núpcias, a experiência foi memorável e digna da ocasião. Começo por agradecer ao anfitrião Afonso que nos proporcionou uma estadia fantástica, foi muito simpático e profissional, desde o acolhimento até à explicação na fábrica de chocolate. Ficamos na suite do Palacete, tinhamos o edifício só para nós, quarto lindo e super espaçoso, a cama tem o melhor colchão e almofadas de sempre, uma autêntica nuvem de conforto. Foi preparado um jantar só para nós na sala de jantar do palacete onde me senti uma princesa, pelo ambiente e tratamento VIP, bem como a comida deliciosa. O pequeno almoço com produtos caseiros, também servido no palacete foi muito bom. Tivemos também momentos de descanso junto da linda piscina com passarinhos a cantar, pois apesar de estarmos na cidade a sensação é de sossego e tranquilidade. Obrigado Afonso, foi tudo excelente bem como os chocolates que fabricou para nós. Recomendamos a todos a experiência.
