I have slept in this hotel only for one night, my boyfriend got it as a birthday surprise for me. We were warmly welcomed by the girl for the check in. The hotel is located in the beautiful castle of Montegridolfo. Very nicely decorated and clean our suite was in the tower overlooking all the hamlet and the surrounding hills. Our room was really impressive and it felt like being in a fairy tail. There is also a beautiful garden with a swimming pool overlooking the countryside which was very enjoyable. Because of the new Covid rules there was no buffet breakfast but we could still choose for homemade cakes and biscuits, croissants and tea and cappuccino. Would surely recommend this place, it’s unique in its charm.

Excellently renovated hotel located in the splendid village of Montegridolfo. We stayed in the Gridolfi room, very spacious, well furnished with a modern and large bathroom. The possibility of having a free room upgrade by booking on the official website is very welcome (obviously subject to availability). The building is truly beautiful, there is a very relaxing atmosphere, the swimming pool is located on a terrace with a splendid view. There are, however, some things to improve: - there are no indications on where to park the car and on the possibility of transporting suitcases with a golf cart (I had to take the uphill road from the car park outside the village to the entrance of the building with suitcases in hand) - at check-in there is no porterage service and such a beautiful hotel should have it as there is obviously no lift in a period building (another 3 floors with suitcases without any help) - the breakfast and the cleaning service of the environment were poor: the bowls and plates were not very clean, the breakfast offering was not very varied and not of the quality expected from a hotel of this level. For example, the only cereal offered was a pre-packaged bag of cornflakes. It wouldn't take much to improve such a beautiful structure

Mi dispiace dare una recensione così terribile, ma è il riflesso di come alla fine mi hanno trattato. Il personale è stato inizialmente gentile e la location è bella, ma troppe pecche. Arrivati abbiamo scoperto che solo le valige con i bambini possono salire con il caddy, mentre con il cagnolino sono dovuta salire a piedi. Nonostante sia un hotel a 4 stelle e non economico non è previsto il servizio di consegna bagagli in stanza. La ragazza della reception gentilmente ci ha aiutato nonostante avessi detto che non ce ne era bisogno e prendendomi una valigia molto bella di mio figlio dalle mani l'ha fatta accidentalmente cadere sull'acciotolato sconnesso di fronte all'hotel, causando un graffio profondo nella plastica sul davanti. Quando mi sono accorta del danno, l'ho fatto presente in hotel e successivamente ho scritto una mail per chiedere un risarcimento, spiegano l'accaduto senza l'intento di accusare nessuno e ho spiegato anche il valore affettivo (oltre che economico) della valigia che ho regalato a mio figlio. Mi è stato risposto risposto freddamente senza nessuna empatia che ero stata io a far cadere la valigia e che pertanto "mancando rapporto causa effetto" per quanto assicurati non mi avrebbero rimborsato nulla. Ho riscritto ribadendo come fossero andati i fatti senza ricevere alcuna risposta: davvero non ho parole. Dove è tutta la gentilezza che avete mostrato durante il soggiorno? Aggiungo che la notte non si poteva stare con il condizionatore acceso nonostante il caldo perché rumorosissimo. Un condizionatore di una marca sconosciuta non all'altezza di un hotel così. Il problema è che dato il caldo della stanza abbiamo tenuto le finestre aperte non munite di zanzariere e siamo stati letteralmente massacrati dalle zanzare. Infine uno Spritz in piscina a 10 euro al banco e con solo qualche patatina presa self service mi e' sembrato eccessivo. La granita al limone casereccia era invece buona e valeva i 5 euro. Colazione al di sotto delle aspettative: pane e focaccia stoppose. Nulla di sorprendente.

Essendo un hotel diffuso, la mia esperienza potrebbe essere controcorrente ed è sicuramente legata a quanto da me provato. Abbiamo soggiornato in una camera distaccata, vicino alla piazza centrale del borgo. Piuttosto piccola e angusta, soprattutto il bagno (non c'era lo spazio fisico per usare il WC, letteralmente appiccicato alla doccia). In stanza faceva un caldo infernale, e i condizionatori erano delle "cinesate" talmente rumorose da rendere impossibile dormire con gli stessi accesi. Quindi o caldo mortale, o finestre aperte e rumori (compresa la musica del ristorante vicino). Molto bella la struttura centrale, la piscina e ottima la colazione. Personalmente l'ho trovato inadatto a 4 stelle e soprattutto alla cifra pagata per notte.
